All well and good but if your team is good enough to win in most places, no one can do much...
You know, I am not denying that in any of my posts, juz pointing out that if your team is good enough to win on most surfaces, any amount of corruption and influence by the board or anyone else will not matter.. And I think, given that the board politics are not gonna change, RR will be wiser to try the second option.
There is no evidence as yet that your team is good enough to win without cheating. Last year, it was in the appointment of umpires. This year it is in pitch selection. So how do you convince anyone that Chennai would have won anything if things were not being fixed in their favour?

Definitely. hb is being ridiculous. And Csk do not need any unfair advantage to win at all. We are the champs ffs and we have been among the top teams at every edition of the IPL so far.
Right.

I can vividly remember more than a few politicians who were caught rigging the polls or using unfair electoral practices exclaiming with an air of injured innocence: "I won with a big majority, didn't I? So I didn't need that unfair advantage to win at all."

Unless you actually win something on a level playing field, claiming that you are champions means absolutely nothing. Zilch. Diddly-squat. Nada. Show me that you can win in a fair contest, and I might start having some respect for your team.

Season 1: Runners up
S2: Semis
S3: Champs and Champion's league winners
S4: Just a formality now before we qualify for the next stage of the tournament.

And read what I say properly at the beginning ffs. I was agreeing with vcs who said that the issue should be thoroughly investigated. I don't need this cloud hanging over my team who are the hardest working bunch of individuals in the league. You need to work on your comprehension skills. Beat it.

And also if you mean the Csk won every game in every edition of every IPL by cheating in that first paragraph, I would rather listen seriously to centurymaker in a 9/11 debate.

I quite clearly unerstood what you meant; thank you.

You need to - no, probably you don't need to, but it would still be nice - be less of a hyprocrite.

Disappear, preferably taking your beloved Srini with you.

I rest my case.

To be able to rest your case, you need to have one in the first place.
My case was - your comprehension skills, undoubtedly, unquestionably, 100% sucks. And I rested my case when you made no sense whatsoever with that second post again. So, ciao.

I am not sure why I am being ridiculous. Is it because I am used to the BCCI being corrupt? Sorry, it is not news to me anymore and maybe I m cynical, but I don even wanna discuss how bad they are.. There is just no point. They won't change. The people do, but the practises dont. The beneficiaries change, but the corruption continues.. So I have basically given up on these things and I am talking about what I feel CAN be changed. I would love it for once, if we had a side that was SO good that no amount of influencing the pitch and conditions is gonna defeat them. THAT would be the easiest way to get these guys to stop such practices. When they realize doing that guarantees nothing....
Come on hb, wake up man, it isn't the 1990s anymore. Lots of corrupt officials are being caught these days in much bigger scams and are being held accountable(Raja in the 2g scam for example). Things are slowly changing in our country and I still think justice is possible if the case is strong enough no matter who you are. I might just be an optimistic idiot but things are looking up as far as corruption goes.

You either don't know everything about this issue(i.e ignorance) or you are just venting your prejudice under the mask of anonymity here in the forum. First of all, no one conclusively knows who ordered the pitch change. After the last match at Jaipur, Sachin had said that the pitch was a bad one. Since the BCCI follows every comment from Sachin like gospel, they might have intervened without Srinivasan having a say in it, anything is possible here and until we know conclusively what happened in this case, you should refrain from making ignorant comments which might rile up a few Csk fans. You succeeded in riling me up. Kudos.

Pune getting their shiz together. Pandey looks better(except the start, but he's always been a bad starter from what I've seen of him). Needs to work on his offside play a bit. Tries the cut shot sometimes when it's way too close to his off stump.

Also, major props to Munaf Patel. Has been sublime in this tournament.
