Now Al Qaeda has come out with a threat to IPL, Commonwealth Games, etc,etc.. Really hopeless. What do these bastards hope to gain from attacking sportsmen. These ****ing terrorists should be shot in their balls.

What has the world come to. Some jobless, mad asses can hold the whole world to ransom sitting in some cave.

Tweet from Lalit Modi :

Timeout is no longer 10 mins at the end of 10th over.Timeout is 2.5 minutes only this time. It can be called at anytime by both teams once during an inning. Just like in nba and nfl. The timeout will allow teams to confer amongst themselves at crucial time in the game as needed. It will help them restatergise.

P.S

Tweet from Shane Warne:
having a bowl of pasta with pup tonight... great to catch up with him...

Delhi shouldn't have let Dhawan go to bombay.... their batting lineup would be even more formidable.
Delhi seem to lose it in each auction. First, they had to settle with (then) second-best internationals, bar McGrath, then strangely, they dropped McGrath for all of the second season, then bought out his contract (biggest blooper yet), then traded in their less useful batsmen for another bits-and-pieces player when they needed some solid domestic batsman or bowler, then let Kolkata get Bond and settled with Parnell, and now they've let Monish Mishra go to Deccan, and didn't snare Abbas Ali. That's in addition to some useful catchment area bowlers gathering dust in the South/East team camps. The Dhawan transfer wasn't so bad- they beefed up their domestic seam bowling base a lot.

They can stick to Dilshan, AB, Nannes and one of Maharoof and Parnell. That's easy for them. Filling the domestic spots (one batsman, one bowler) will be tough. Mithun Manhas isn't cut out for T20, and it's anybody's guess if Rajat Bhatia can replicate his recent hitting form in the IPL. Joginder Singh, a rather old player, appears to be a better fit.

Apparently Warne is having second thoughts about playing due to security fears.

Are we likely to see a mass exodus?

I am not excited about the IPL at all this year. Probably won't watch even a ball. Movies>IPL.

IPL has never appealed to me maybe its due to lack of Pakistani players but then they were there in IPL 1 but I still did not watch a single ball.Looking at it again I don't watch any 20-20 from England,Wi,Aus or SAF so why should IPL be any different.

Well you have the most talented players from all over the world playing together as well as a bunch of brilliant all-time great ex-players playing, for starters...

yeah thats true for me to watch a team sports I need to have some affinty with a team since I don't feel any emotional attachment for any of the teams hence there is this lack of interest on my part.
