**Official** India v Pakistan

Eyes not spreadsheets
Why, because the last pair had a swing and added 44 at 4 an over?

Hardly a great "counter-attack" seeing as they lost the last 8 wickets for 129.

biased indian

International Coach
i think what he ment there was that the position in which pakistan has reached will provide india with a chance to prove that they cancounter attcak by taking quick wicket on 3rd day .

but i doubt anything like that happening, restricting pakistan below 500 is tha only chance for indians
to have some say in the test

...my suggestion...for the perfect tense thriller

younis and yousuf bat out the first session and when the temp rises go after the weary bowlers. one man guides the innings while the other strikes...inzi comes in if one is to fall...inzi now inzi becomes the guider and lets the standing man attack...next send in razzaq...to attack inzi remains to guide...kamal in to guide and inzi begins to attack...this way we always have one batsmen who is willing to go after the bowling and one to guide the innings...runs shud come freely...maybe declare after gaining a lead of 200 if thats possible of corse u never knw tom is another day things could go differently...200 lead gives pakistan 2 days to attack the indian line up its a hard task thats for sure. According to the pitch reports spin should b successful on day 4 and 5, but oh no india stick at it bat out day 4 losing maybe 4 wickets then are bowled out by kaneria and afridi. india with a lead of 100-150? leaving pakistan with a session and a half to get it....if it goes to plan that will b one heck of a specticle...but it would all b even better if afridi gets a not out...hoping for too much? i hope not:P
No way... very realistic (sarcastic smiley)

A very good chance for the Indians to prove that they too can counter-attack- by far the only positive for them from today.
harb swinging his bat around is not exactly counter-attack... :)

Jokes aside, India might not have the best pace attack in the world, but its certainly a good one .In contrast Pak pace attack is turning out to be a sick joke.

What a joker ..... :D Ultimately the the Joke ended up on Him ! :)

I am not Indian or Pakistani ..... but I apreciate a dimwitted comment when I see one ! :p

Some interesting info... The last Pakistani to score a double century was Inzamam (329 against New Zealand)... a few years back... since then... 34 more double centuries have been scored.. the only teams not to have a player score a double century are Pakistan, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Pakistan is definetely due for a double century... let's see if Younis or Yousuf can do it. :p

wow going down from 3-0 predictions to now even winning one seems outta reach. John Wright probably wont comeback to coach, coz he knows this is all this team can achieve above average, or downright sucky.

That's an interesting stat indeed. Pakistan also lack players with big averages compared to India. It's interesting that of the 11 players in the world today with 50+ averages, 9 are concentrated in three sides, Australia has Ponting, Hayden, Gilchrist and Martyn, India has Sehwag, Dravid and Tendulkar and South Africa have Kallis and Smith. Outside of there only Lara and Strauss fall into this group, and Strauss hasn't exactly maintained it for a long time. There's three Sri Lankans and two Pakistanis averaging between 48 and 50 mind you, but there's still that notable 50+ mark that is often seen to seperate a good batsman from a great batsman.

well at the moment pakistan are looking quite well so far, after being down and out for the first 4 days in mohali they drew that test match quite brilliantly and to date in Kolkatta are looking quite well.

yes, nice.

If the Pakistani lower order isnt allowed to have a slog, they could well be restricted to around Indias score..
