**Official** India v Pakistan

Well i'm happy that my hero got his first haul of five wkt :) .PPl here knows that i'm a big fan of L Balaji.

Asim Kamal and Inzi were the only batsmen that looked good in Pakistan's lineup. If Asim wasn't selected and Pakistan had opted for Afridi for a 5th bowling option, then Pakistan might have been bowled out to a score of as low as 200 , or even less than that  This shows the importance of the right batting combination for test matches.

I expect India to do well in first innings, Dravid,Laxman, Sehwag should score big runs. As far as Pakistani bowlers are concerned, all eyes would be on Danish and Sami. Sami happens to be the biggest under-achiever ever. This could be his make or break series, the wkt is helping the seamers, if he bowls well he might trouble the Indian batsmen and might gets valuable wkts for Pakistan. But if he's like his usual self , a loose- cannon, then he will get pasted and Indian will pile up huge total.

India needs to bat for most of the 2 days and pile up total in excess of 600-600+ . This shouldn't be difficult keeping in mind the quality of Indian batting lineup and the weak bowling lineup of Pakistan.

I don't think Pakistani pacers will be able to make any impression on Indian batsmen, Rani Sami and Razzak will be taken with ease while Danish atmost might do a decent job by keeping Indian batsmen quite.

If India is able to take a 300-350 runs wkt, then i think India will bowl out Pakistan to below 200 runs score in the second innings (wkt won't be easy in second innings and will take spin) and will win the match by an innings margin on fourth day.

Yeah i know though i'm hoping it doesn't happen

Whatever it takes!!!
I think Zaheer has performed really well, Gangster, ever since his comeback. He was not good in Bangalore, but it was his return game and he was bound to be a bit rusty. He wasn't much flash in the first innings at Chennai either, but significantly bettered his bowling in the second innings, when I thought he was better than Pathan. He was really good at Nagpur and at Mumbai, in the limited opportunities he got there. He was consistent against SA and against Bangladesh, even though the fact that he didn't get the outswing going meant he was that much lesser of a threat. Yesterday, he got the ball to seam around quite a bit and both ways as well and was, therefore, a real threat. He deserved more wickets than he got and it is also a fact that quite a number of runs scored off him were from edges (thick or thin). I think Balaji is a very good option right now and is bowling really well, but that doesn't mean we have to trash Zaheer, who is bowling well too. ATM, one can say that Balaji is doing better than Zaheer, but that is about the most I can say.

Spot on buddy.. I think the Indian pace trio is firing all the cylinders at the moment.....I suppose we may even think of dropping gautam gambir for the forthcoming matches and give Dinesh Karthick an oppurtunity to open the innings and go in with five specialist bowlers......

That would be a typical "Indian" move and wrong as usual.

If we have the guts to play with five bowlers, which I doubt, we will have to drop Laxman. Sad but thats the only possibility. To drop an opener once again shows how we never ever learn from our mistakes.

AND lets not count our chicks till the eggs are hatched.

312 is not a massive score but its not dismal. It has to be overtaken first.

Yes, Shoaib not being there is a relief but then again, its easy to write off bowlers just because they are not the best in their side. Look at the Pakistani Medium pacers and ask yourself if some of them would not contend for a place in the Indian side (other than Shaoib) ? The honest answer has to be yes. So if our medium pacers can get them out (yes I know our batting is better) lets not just write them off and talk of 600 plus totals.

It can happen but then again, it may not.

Leave your coloured glasses at home and watch :)

But none of them are under-19 so how can they qualify for Junior Indian team???

Even if a days play is washout coz of rain, the next three days are good enogh for India to beat Pakistan, basically Pakistan cannot avoid defeat now.

However if it rains tomorrow too then it will be a disaster.Though the good news is that its stop raining now and play is going to resume soon. Now watch out for Indian onslought on Pakistan!
