Yes. They have a very earthy way of telling home truths. Its very appropriate and invariably funny.Pratyush said:Punjabis rock. Wih or without the bhangra and the Punjabi pop.

No, they don't anymore.deeps said:ok well most people consider jacques kallis to be a world class all rounder
So Tendulkar is used for just under 3.3 overs a game - that is not an all-rounders workload by any stretch of the imagination.deeps said:Tendulkar has bowled in that time, 348.5 overs in comparison to 660.5 off kallis. which is almost twice as many overs
If they were as superior as you say, then Pakistan wouldn't have had a chance at a draw.nehrafan said:In test matches India were a far superior team, unfortunately India didn't showed enough determination and hunger for win and as such Pak snatched a draw.
And what makes you feel Kallis isnt a World Class all rounder any more.marc71178 said:No, they don't anymore.
I think the fact that he doesnt bowl that much anymore, and if he does, he doesn't pick up wickets at regular intervals.Pratyush said:And what makes you feel Kallis isnt a World Class all rounder any more.

I think Marc defines Kallis as a world class batsman who occassionally bowls a bit.
masterblaster... sort of said:Kallis is a world class batsman who occassionally bowls a bit.
Because his bowling is extremely unpenetrative.Pratyush said:And what makes you feel Kallis isnt a World Class all rounder any more.
No he isn't. His bowling isn't up to it (unless it's Bangladesh or ZImbabwe!)deeps said:kallis is still considered an excellent all rounder
He's rarely used outside of Asia, and he's never been particularly good outside Asia, hence he's not good enough to be an all-rounder of any sorts.deeps said:and your sayin 3.3 overs doesnt make an all rounder, well what i was saying that he is heavily under bowled as well. He has the bowling talent, but it isnt used properly
and he still bowls around 7 overs in a game where u r allowed only 10masterblaster said:I think the fact that he doesnt bowl that much anymore, and if he does, he doesn't pick up wickets at regular intervals.

If he is bowling 7 overs an odi, he certainly is good enough all rounder for one dayers. Not for tests for the moment though.marc71178 said:When he feels like it that is.
When he doesn't fancy bowling, it's just coincidental that the batsmen are good players, but when the Zimbabwe games come along, suddenly his mysterious ailment which meant he couldn't bowl has cleared up!
How the hell did b.i. get 7 a gamemarc71178 said:Except he isn't bowling 7 a game.
2005 - just over 4 a game, 3 wickets @ 61.66, eco of 6.34
2004 - just over 4 a game, 11 wickets @ 39.63, eco of 5.45
2003 - about 7 a game, 14 wickets @ 43.42, eco of 5.15
That's not an all-rounder's numbers.
