I'm amazed they did the right thing, even better as I called it a few hours previouslydeeps said:man of series was spot on, rana!
Hmm, a world class all rounder does both to a very high standard, and bith Sehwag and Mongia have ordinary records.deeps said:All the Indian supporters are talkin about the lack of a quality all rounder. Well, there's some news for you. Sachin Tendulkar is a world class all rounder. Virendar Sehwag aint too bad either, as is mongia. That's all the bowling you will need!
Question is, is it a massive failure or merely the true indication of where they stand in World Cricker?social said:Any way you look at it, the tests and ODIs have been a massive failure for India.
IMHO, it's both. It was a massive failure to not win the Test series, and definetely to surrender a 2-0 lead and lose the series 4-2. But yeah, India does have a low ODI rank and they deserve it as of late.marc71178 said:Question is, is it a massive failure or merely the true indication of where they stand in World Cricker?

IMO, having them as the 5th bowler is a big problem.
Tendulkar is a useful bowler. World class allrounder? Hmmm...deeps said:i said that tendulkar is a world class all rounder, and said that sehwag and mongia aren't bad..
ie
tendulkar = world class all rounder
sehwag+mongia = not bad all rounders
tendulkar should be bowling 10 overs a match
Tendulkar COULD be a world class ODI allrounder IF he was bowled more. I think he's underbowled in ODIs. He could be like a Gayle or Shoaib Malik.Mr Mxyzptlk said:Tendulkar is a useful bowler. World class allrounder? Hmmm...
LOL yeh rite, get ure head right, tendulkar world class all-rounder??? i dont think so...hes been bowling on spinning paradises, what the hell do u expect from him, even dravid coulda bowled some offies and picked up a few.deeps said:i said that tendulkar is a world class all rounder, and said that sehwag and mongia aren't bad..

Now that's under-rating the man. I've seen Tendulkar get turn on pitches that aren't tailored for spin. That may just be because I actually watch the cricket though.redbaron said:LOL yeh rite, get ure head right, tendulkar world class all-rounder??? i dont think so...hes been bowling on spinning paradises, what the hell do u expect from him, even dravid coulda bowled some offies and picked up a few.
Lol is right. These guys are so blinded by Tendulkar that they attribute all these non-existent qualities to him. Wisden has it right on Tendlukar - all along. Can you compare Steve Waugh and Tendulkar - not even close. Tendulkar was a MISERABLE failure as a captain and has been non-existent in real pressure situations. And when the time came the Suatralian Selectors moved on beyond Waugh. Wish the Indian Selectors had the courgae, wisdom and IQ to do the same. NOT A CHANCE.redbaron said:LOL yeh rite, get ure head right, tendulkar world class all-rounder??? i dont think so...hes been bowling on spinning paradises, what the hell do u expect from him, even dravid coulda bowled some offies and picked up a few.
Getting 'turn' is not good bowling. Look at Kumble. You guys are all like little teenagers idolizing Tendulkar - maybe that's what you are?Mr Mxyzptlk said:Now that's under-rating the man. I knew you would not reciprocate the politeness. Maybe you ought to check your spellingNeil Pickup said:The select your smilies better!
How is that related to his bowling?JustTool said:Lol is right. These guys are so blinded by Tendulkar that they attribute all these non-existent qualities to him. actually you'll find that tendulkar gets more spin that most other spinners in the world.redbaron said:LOL yeh rite, get ure head right, tendulkar world class all-rounder??? i dont think so...hes been bowling on spinning paradises, what the hell do u expect from him, even dravid coulda bowled some offies and picked up a few.
