Absolutely terrible. In a word, DUMB. Which makes one wonder- do the people of that area really know anything about the game? IF this is how the public behaves, the BCCI should not hold any international fixture in such places.

it's sad because all of the other venues, mohali, calcutta, bangalore, kochi, and vizag, were excellent and this incident has ruined what was a smooth tour.

If you have noticed, it's a problem with the smaller venues. Jamshedpur has had crowd trouble once, then this. Nagpur also had some unruly elements in the crowd, and so did Rajkot. Guwahati and Goa are not managed properly- Harbhajan Singh got into a scrap with one of the local policemen in Guwahati. Ahmedabad has had a record for unruly crowds, but they are a lot better behaved these days.

This is a problem with Law and Order. Jamshedpur has always had crowd trouble because too many people turn up to watch the game and the security arrangements are not enough to contain them.

I know, it is scary. What is scarier is that we have family and friends in that Jungle Raj.

It is really unfortunate that a stone has been thrown at the Pakistani team bus which could have injured Inzamam ul Haq. Somehow this incident is not reported in any of the reliable news sources. But I have read this in a few Indian, Pakistani and neutral newspapers/websites.
Why can’t BCCI come out and condemn this act? Why can’t they offer an apology to the visitors who are our revered guests. Where is the famous Indian hospitality which predates to the medieval times.

We should be thankful to the Pakistani team management who have handled this sensitive issue in a matured way. I don’t know how we would have reacted had Saurav being subjected to this throwing near Peshawar. What is good for the goose is good for the gander too.

Who is made accountable for this serious security slip? What kind of extra measures have been taken to prevent such occurances in the future? The players can’t live in fear when they play for their country.

BCCI is filthy rich and they can afford to fly the players to Jamshedpur in chartered flights from Vizag. It is a good thing they had a three day break between Vizag and Jamshedpur. But it is frustrating to travel by road for 3 hours in some wretched Jharkhand roads. Afterall it is not similar to travel by road in England or let alone Pakistan which has much better roads than India.

Why should they play a game in Jamshedpur? In the early 90s it had the myth of having a good ground based on a beautiful outfield. At that time most Indian grounds didn’t have good outfields. As a matter of fact Jamshedpur has poor facilities for the players, media and commentators. I have heard that they don’t have air conditioners in the dressing rooms which is a prerequisite for hosting any games.

What next for BCCI? May be tests in Adilabad, Dhanbad, Koraput, Tirunelveli and Jamnagar? Why? Because they have good outfields..........My foot!!

With all due respect to your RANTING, Have you ever travelled to Jamshedpur from Ranchi via Road Route to call the roads as 'Wretched Road' ??

Keenan is still one the best grounds in the country. It's lush green outfield can compete with the best in the world. As for the facilities, AC or no NO AC, the match was scheduled only after PCB was satisfied with the arrangments and facilities..

Kaneria and Younis Khan to play next game! Whoo!

However, I think that means Pakistan are left with only five bowling options?

yeah, Pak are too good to lose 3 in a row. I think this game will be tough for India.....very tough, in fact.

Bedi says that India can easily whitewash Pak 6-0 in Onedays.

He thinks India is a far superior team to Pak in ODI.

Even if India is better, a 6-0 result in a game of luck like ODI seems to be near impossible.

Not necessarily, they can drop Akmal and ask Malik to keep wkts.

Its important for Pak to play Rao in place of Sami.

I just hope there aren't crowd trouble in the smaller centers during the onedayers, i have a feeling that if Pakistan start winning the match some dumb idiots might end up throwing bottles on players :@

Its very much possible, though i think Pak might end up winning one match. They are no match to India but once in a while they do come up with superb performance.
