Where is kishan BTW. Kl's done well with the bat but I dont think his keeping is test standard. Would rather see ishan at 6 with him over iyer. Let iyer go play the last few A series red ball game here and figure his **** out.

Kishan will also probably be pretty **** with the bat in South Africa; and he is hardly an improvement on Rahul. Our best other keeping option is KS Bharat, but his batting is below average. Rahane deserved another chance after WTC Final.....

The way Kohli is playing makes me so happy.

He is in the zone, Zen master stuff like mid 30s Tendulkar, who can rise above the conditions thanks to experience and class.

Kohli's looking good for a late career flourish
Been a fair amount of luck in his recent resurgence in test, hasn't there? got dropped once or twice in both of his recent 100's vs aus and WI, and has had a few drops here. As some have mentioned here he's probably due a bit of luck, but I don't know if he's suddenly gonna go full khawaja without the drops continuing.

Hey it worked for Labuschagne. And I am pretty sure Smith was dropped about 7 times in that Pune 100 which was the toughest conditions he faced in that tour in 2017.

Meh... we lost it with the ball here. We lost it with the ball in the 4th innings last tour twice.

We kinda deserve it for how bad Ganguly was as the BCCI president at least with respect to managing the men's team. :(

The most disappointing thing in the last 2 months have been how bad Gill and Shreyas have been in key occasions. As the lesser scarred brigade who have a chance to still win a WC or something, I expected them to do far better here, at least come in with a fresh mental perspective. Very disappointed at how much they have regressed as fielders too. Shreyas was an outstanding fielder who is now almost hiding coz of his back issues, Gill was a very safe catcher who has been putting down sitters this test.

The bowling is the major culprit but we surely could have eked out 200 or 250 here in the 3rd innings. :(
