It is ridiculous we don't have a reserve pacer of Test quality. Prasidh is nowhere near Siraj, Bumrah or Test quality so far. Just a pathetic attempt on tour from India as usual.
Anyone of Navdeep Saini, Mukesh Kumar or Jaydev Unadkat would had been a better choice....

Not Unadkat - he could not get a wicket against West Indies. Saini is a scattergun as proven by his international career so far and his inability to take consistent FC wickets despite bowling 140kph. Mukesh worth a go but he's not exactly accurate.

It is a pathetic lack of development to be incapable of producing decent fast bowlers in such a big country.

Nah, you are overreacting as usual. Shardul esp. has bowled enough good balls. The difference is that they are not showing the patience to keep bowling the good ball and not be frustrated by all the plays and misses. Its a newbie problem, though its much less of an excuse for Shardul. I did not see how Bumrah went.

The problem is we have always had issues bowling to left handers. The two guys in this team who are gun bowlers at lefties are Siraj and Ashwin and they have hardly bowled. :(

The one consistent issue I have had with Rohit as a captain is how dependent he seems to be on what the backroom staff and analysts tell him and how long he takes before going to plan B. We saw it in the World Cup final as well when he brougth on Shami earlier than he should have (which I was fine with, as its a big game) but he should have had Siraj bowling by the 6th or at least the 8th over at that end and yet he let Bumrah and Shami run themselves totally out of fumes by bowling them for 5 straight overs.

Bumrah is same old story whenever we tour. Lots of "great balls" and plays-and-misses but no wickets. It is just so disappointing how predictable is the failure of the top order and then behind the game whenever touring in SENA.

You cant write off a team in one session with the ball. Its definitely a concern as the bowlers seem as impatient as Rohit is as a captain. One thing that stood out in the Virat era was while Virat always looked very impatient, the bowlers and even him to an extent tended to be patient with bowling certain lines and lengths and tightening things up and letting the batsmen make a mistake. We are not seeing that here.

I can't understand why Rohit still isn't using Ashwin....You have been playing with an off spinner, two set left handed batsmen are batting and you direly need a breakthrough....

He just takes ages to change. We saw that with the short ball tactic as well. You usually have a short leg and a deep square leg to ensure batsmen cant fend or just hook closing their eyes and forcing them to either sway or play the short ball well. Its how our batters are challenged and yet we never do it to the opponents except when MSD was the captain.

Just so sick of reading stuff like this...

Bumrah to de Zorzi, no run
Cracker of a delivery! Angles in and gets the ball to straighten to beat the outside edge.

...while the opposition racks up 350+ at 4 runs an over.

I’ve only just seen the current spell he’s bowling and imo he’s challenging the edge almost every ball but is marginally short of where he needs to be.

Then it hits the edge but because its too short, it goes via soft hands for four through the slips. So frustrating.

Conscious that bowling is tough in Test cricket but man, our batsmen make it look easy to bowl in Tests.

Find it funny seeing this complaint as the last two tours here he's been dynamite when fit.

It's frustrating, but I think its also what's really beautiful about Tests and separates it from white ball cricket....

Anyone just have the channel randomly change on Kayo?
Yes. Seems that the issue was that it went from a secondary channel to the primary one after the BBL finished.

If you go to the BBL game that just finished tonight on Kayo, it'll have the Test.
