I agree which is why I said only decently and not good. I am forgiving for debutants then guys who been with the squad for some time like Jansen&Coetzee.

He is Okay. Is not bad with the white ball, haven't seen him too much in the domestic circuit and bowled the first over well (and now a boundary on the first delivery of the second over....). Honestly, would had preferred Mukesh Kumar.

Just the one over but looks like he has the tools at least. Mid 130s, shapes it back into the left hander. Taller than the other Indian quicks so should get a bit more bounce.

Coetzee has played just two Tests before this and Jansen has just 11. I feel like you're being harsh as I think they're both good bowlers.
Coetzee bowled a bit too short, but perhaps that was the plan. I felt like he'd have more success against left handers because he naturally moves the ball away from them. However, he was mostly bowling to RHBs yesterday.
Jansen got good bounce and swing and bowled some good deliveries. He'd probably have picked up a few more wickets if he was up against against weaker batsmen. I though India played him well enough on the whole.

Was a bit all over the place though and his five-wicket haul against SAF A was mainly tailenders so I'm sceptical.

Just a pathetic disparity in our batting and bowling quality vs our opposition. South Africa weren't even that accurate but our batsmen are sitting ducks in moving conditions - then, now, forever!
Fairly happy. Keshav will obviously come back in for the Cape town test. I much prefer the balance of 7/4 until we find an actual batting allrounder.

I just think they need to let Ashwin have a spell here at the two lefties, and ensure one of Bumrah/Siraj are bowling with one of Lord/Krishna. The two inexperienced ones bowling together have leaked a lot of runs. And it just looks like Krishna cant really bowl a fuller length, is just floating them up when it seems like the management asked him to go fuller.

It is ridiculous we don't have a reserve pacer of Test quality. Prasidh is nowhere near Siraj, Bumrah or Test quality so far. Just a pathetic attempt on tour from India as usual.
