*Official* India Tour of New Zealand 2019

Hope so. But I've just not seen him remedy the inability, as you say, of hitting a length. Drags down way, way too much. May be that he just needs to bowl a shitload to make it innate, if he has solved the technical stuff. I just love the base he hits from as a batsman, it's so clean - similar to what Gup does.
yeah he strikes me as a very physically gifted bloke who's never really learned to think too hard about his bowling - could just rely on pace and bounce to blast out lower level players. Needs a heap of overs at international batsmen to learn the trade imo.

Re: Neesham's dismissal, how come it was run out as opposed to stumped? Only reading cricinfo, but it doesn't sound like he was attempting a run. Insignificant as far as the match is concerned, I appreciate, just curious.
He half was. He spent like 3 seconds outside his crease thinking about it

Yeah, gettable as hell target, it's still not yet out of reach. Poorly executed chase from NZ, good as India have been.

KW lost this game for you. Pulling rank on Taylor's review was a disaster
Poor game all around for him. Questionable captaincy once he had India on the ropes four down, and his dismissal to Jadhav. Hopefully the lessons aren't lost.

I'm sure he's a nice bloke but I'm really not sure why 3-4 months out from a World Cup we're still wasting our time on him. He never looked like getting us anywhere near close.
can't really say this when he's barely been given a chance

if our team was full of medium pace trash he could have even gotten a bowl outside the death overs

Probably wouldn't go that harsh but it did strike me straight away as wrong. It was like Kane didn't want to use the 'he's our best player so let's use it' card, which is absolutely a card to play in our side. It was always close to being marginal. You use it, it's wrong, whatever. He's our form player.

Did anyone answer me whether a review is retained if it's umpire's call? Because if so, it was a particularly woeful decision.

We didn't want to win this match.

Some really bad batting and bowling rotations from Kane (trying out players for the WC).

Nah I'm comfortable saying it. He's not going to be a factor in England. He shouldn't go. Not a batting option of any worth, Ish is a better limited overs bowler.

Bugger it. Oh well, least we get one game of 5 that's mildly going close to being competitive.

Yup they did say so on air.
Cheers. OK, I'm comfortable it was a crap choice then. Baz would've reviewed it, purely because he's smart enough to know it's worth the gamble on your best player v such a good bowling line-up.
