is this a copypasta
Get over it. garylyon is amazing.

You're letting your personal political dislike of him get in the way of your sense. It was obvious garylyon would own it, his depth of information and recall is truly impressive. And just so we're clear he'd also own you on what is your field of study and what is a hobby for him.

The Sky Sports podcast makes for some hilarous listening, a standard discussion hopefully captured below

Charles: What is the problem with England's batting?

Bob: Well Charles, I am afraid they are simply not good enough. Poor CC scheduling, too many coaches, players being picked on reputation etc

Guest (usually a former player): I disagree, i think they are good enough, it's just a mindset, look at what the ODI team has achieved, look at how destructive the middle order can be, Cook will come right, look how well they played just last month etc.

Cook will come right... ? My first born will have acne by that time.

This series, so far, has been mainly about the conditions favouring either one team or the other.

First test, fairly balanced for both teams, and we got a close see-saw contest. CricketWeb: Oh! the glory of test cricket etc. etc.
Second test, conditions overwhelmingly in favour of England, and they looked like a world champion side. CricketWeb: India is dire, expect 5-0, test cricket is in danger, batting is dead etc. etc.
This test, conditions vastly in favour of India so far, and England look poor and are clearly on the back foot. CricketWeb punditry at the end of this test is eagerly awaited.

Why do you think this Test's conditions are vastly in favour of India? I think they've just been the better team

Was the ball swinging around like crazy when Hardik had that spell? I didn't really watch much but I felt that this pitch was a bit slower and lower which suits our batsmen better (see openers and even Pujara looking decent in the 2nd innings so far).

The ball was swinging plenty. The pitch being slower and lower doesn't necessarily make it in favour of India though, it just makes it less in favour of England. I'm assuming it's still more of an English pitch than an Indian pitch.

India got to bowl when there was a fair bit of help for the quick bowlers; and England didn't manage to survive that small window.
For the most part, when India have been batting conditions were more favourable for batting.

SeamUp

International Coach
Root should never be allowed to play for England again after this **** show. His captaincy in the series is a disgrace to the game of cricket regardless of what happens from now on in.

Whaaaaaat

Rory Burns in to captain on test dayboo then.
