Root should never be allowed to play for England again after this **** show. His captaincy in the series is a disgrace to the game of cricket regardless of what happens from now on in. If India turn the series on it's head it will be very interesting to see the public reaction. India look like they've got the game in the bag and England's confidence has hit an all-time low. India can't be written off in the series from here. Their tail is right up now and England look in big trouble.

I feel Root is doing a fine job... I don't think he's doing anything on purpose... Not intentionally anyway but having not seen the game I can't really comment I only have the press reports but who else would be captain... ?

Root averages 42 as a number 3 (and just 33 in the last year), I know England don't have a lot of options at the top of the order, but you've gotta wonder whether he and England would've been better off with him staying put at 4.

Got to hand it to India. I was predicting 5-0 after last week, but barring something weird, they should win this easy and have done it in conditions that should really have played to England's strengths. Kohli has become an absolute colossus since his last trip to England.
