I liked how it put a nice big hole through the "win toss, bat first, win match in India" crowd that attributed all our home wins to getting the best use of the conditions.
On the flip side, it is also ****oo of people trying to say it doesnt give an advantage

Never pleasant to see a young batsman struggle as badly as this. Hopefully sense prevails and the selectors put him out to grass soon.

It gives no advantage or disadvantage to India, last time I checked the stats they win more matches batting second.

Maybe winning the toss and batting first gives some slight chance to the opposition to stay in the game longer, but ultimately winning in India boils down to them playing well and India playing poorly, end of. Same goes when India win. Nothing to do with tosses whatsoever.

So are you saying at 10:30 am on the first day of a test match there are already footmarks on the pitch
