Completely.did him there. Good one kuldeep.
Just for the record, he averaged 49.72 in the next 11 years playing 95 tests. If he had ended his career at the end of 2002, he would have played 105 tests at an average of 57.58 with 31 centuries. Pretty good career still.
Without the banned duo you lot really needed khawaja , handscomb maybe and marsh to average at least 40 and the likes of Finch who have never played test cricket to give decent starts. Predicated on a lot of variablesShaun Marsh deservedly getting criticism but in terms of senior bats, Khawaja been the bigger disappointment for mine.
Only one significant innings this series, barely making more of an impact than Marsh. By this stage of his career he should be doing much more.
Also his batting.Bumrah reminding me of NZ's Chris Martin with this line & inswing
Yep - still a really good second half career, but in context this was when almost every top bat was averaging 50+, often 55+. Had a terrible last couple of years post WC too.Just for the record, he averaged 49.72 in the next 11 years playing 95 tests.
No follow on. Draw is enough to seal series win here.So do we enforce the follow on or nah?
I think we just bat again and bat forever
