At least Australia is doping a little better than Queensland in the shield. Tbf Tasmania should stop preparing pitches that see 17+ wickets in a day.

Matthew Wade the only batsman to go past 25. He made 63.
Qld were 1/40 though

Another addition to the list of things I never thought I would say

“Travis Head was our most organised test batsman”

Very good innings so far

His feet were moving a lot better than I've seen him do before.

Still it's a dark day for Australian cricket when India can reduce us to 7/191 on day two of a home test.

I don't think I've seen a more anger inducing day's cricket from us than that, even our 85 against SA. We needed to be at our potential best and simply weren't.

47 a.o. must be close? Particualry after the high of bowling out SA for 96.

Disappointed with Pant’s keeping. Was given the impression he’d drop catches but looks like CW lied to me. Most impressive part of the day was *****’s relentless gambhiring at a strike rate of about 3 posts per page. “Lol 2 wickets in 4 balls but I expect Australia to make 450.” “Good bowling. Now watch Cummins make 80”. India doing well here but Australia to make 300 at least.” “Ashwin really not bowling well here”.
Great stamina. He kept going all day and will resume tomorrow on a century.

Tbh once we got to four fer whatever, I sort of expected us to be all out by now. You’ve got one bloke on dayboo, and three others in the top six who aren’t established/ feel like they’re playing for their spots. And Darsh. Got to give India some credit too, they bowled very disciplined areas from what I saw of it, against a line up which isn’t of a mindset to try to take them on.

Interesting test. Big props to Travis Head. Didn’t think he had a knock like that in him. Handscomb is just a 30 odd per knock bloke and oddly seems happy with that for some bizarre reason. I suppose it’s the mediocrity which comes from being Victorian. Harris looked all right, but he’s not a real Victorian. Finch isn’t an opener in these conditions. Darsh is just Darsh.

There’s got to be a chance for an opener in this round of Shield matches to make a score and put some acid on. Pair them up with Harris, drop one of Darsh or Handscomb and move Finch to five.
