Good to see Sharma copping short stuff early. Now dangle the carrot and he'll nick off too.

So all four wickets from loose drives on the first morning against the moving ball. So dumb. Put it down to India panicking in Australia like usual.

rohit's almost playing inside the line here against lyon, wait for one to beat the outside edge and take off

Awful stuff. Three loose shots and Virat gets a blinder of a catch (haven't seen it, could have been a loose shots too). Could not possibly be going any worse.

And just the man you want at 40/4 - Rohit Sharma. Zzz

It was a poor shot by Kohli given the circumstances. Didn't properly account for the bounce and movement.

Yea okay amazing catch but awful drive by Kohli

All you have to do is just see off the opening session, let the ball go soft, get the bowlers into their second and third spells, and you're good. This #intent stuff means they're trying to pull off attacking strokes when the ball isn't there to be hit. Completely unnecessary but also completely predictable. Thinking alpha batting is hitting boundaries at every half chance, not playing the ball on its merits and taking their time to settle in

I'm calling it now, this is going to be Rohit's highest IQ innings yet and we're all going to have to shut our mouths.

Yeah but you haven't been watching the entire session *****, so you won't have seen how good the bowling has been. They've tested the outside edge regularly and mixed it up with short stuff which India has handled in its inherently Beta way. The wide one is tossed in to tempt the very shots they've played on the back of excellent bowling leading up to it. Add that to a bit of bounce and movement and you get the edge.

I saw all the play till the second dismissal, haven't since then

The bowling has been good but it hasn't been the good balls taking wickets and that's disappointing. The bowler's have just laid traps the the Indian batsmen have waltzed right into.

You expect better from professional batsmen at the highest level. This is just an abject effort, but it's basically standard for teams batting overseas now days.
