*Official* India Tour of Australia 2018/19

Apparently Sydney and Melbourne CBD feel like Singapore.

I met loads of mainland Chinese in southern California last year (had gone for Coachella) - they all lived nearby in houses their parents had bought.
Got an uncle who lives in a very modern/expensive high rise apartment complex 5 mins from the cbd. Incredible views overlooking Albert park.

Says most of the people living there are Indian and Chinese business people

India have faced worse batting lineups and still managed to lose the series.
That series was there for India, letting nightwatchman Mann score a ton lol. However despite the batting being bad on paper Simpson stood up and scored 539 runs and Toohey a consistent 409, and Yallop came in and scored a ton in the last test. This series no-one looked like standing up, they all got decent to good starts then generally gave their wickets away, which is the difference between being good and rubbish more than shear technical ability.

Yes but the fast bowling also consisted of Amarnath and Madan Lal.

The competition is with indigenous Australians? Bit odd but whatever floats your boat.

The “Chinese are buying up Australia” schtick is bullshit btw.
watson to respond.

EDIT: I see that joke was already made :(

Fair effort from Bob, given he last played Tests 10 years ago. Maybe we should've given Ponting/Hayden a recall lol

You also had Ghavri lol. I'd blame Prasanna and Venkat being crap more than the medium pacers.

Considering we got out to Ashwin, Kuldeep, Jadeja and even Vihari adeptly it's not just the pace bowling, though they were very good and orders of magnitude better than any pace attack India has brought here before, without a doubt their best ever. It's as much the discipline needed to lots of runs. No-one knows how to construct an innings, something also very evident in Shield cricket recently. They just cream the ball to the fielders, get bogged down, and get out after scoring 20-40.

Yeah Simpson's comeback was insanely good for a man of his age. Second greatest ever Australian opener in my opinion.

No, but since we're being critical of respective cultures, maybe a discussion of mental health issues in each country would be fair game?
given that i've posted twice about cutting out this whole line of discussion and given out two warning infractions already, then sure, and the enjoy the immediate 20 point infraction (y)

Convenient excuse for only giving me the infraction, rather than the one who started that line of discussion.
Fantastic moderation
