I don't think the talent with the bat is the problem, per se. I think he's got more than enough of that to have been a very good Test player given how good his keeping is. It's been the actual application of that talent that has lacked throughout his career.

haha i think that he's actually got a good technique and good application. he simply isn't as good at hitting the ball and judging line/length as most FC specialist batsmen.

Tamil naming conventions has their family name first, so Anglicised his name would be Vijay Murali. Still makes no sense though.
