I won't bet on a India vs. Pak ODI ever at the start (ie before the match) unless it actually means something though, because you just have no idea where matches like these are going to go.

ah fair dinkum mate, but in all honesty i wouldn't bet for the life of me.. i am having the worst time in bets.. lost 50 cans of VB last week for saffies to win a match against aussies in the series.. grr

I was just going to comment on that. Apparently there is some controversy about Azharudin's selection. Anyway, the Pakistan squad looks stronger. More recent players it looks like. Should be fun.

I won't comment on Indian selection, but as a Pakistani I don't want Salim Malik near anything that PCB is associated with! He got a lifetime ban and he needs to live with it.

One hell of a player though, him and Miandad turning back the years in the middle order. But it's right that he should not play also you would think Aamir Sohail, Rashid Latif (and others) would not be a part of if Malik was in the team.

Well Aamir Sohail and Rashid Latif are generally believed to be the whistle blowers on the whole match fixing thing. So I don't mind them playing. I think Malik deserves his ban (though he shouldn't have been the only one IMO).
