*Official* - India in West Indies

Forget his strokeplay, impressed with Raina's endeavour here. Has kept it compact (as Bishop just said) and is leaving short balls well.

If he continues like this he'll definitely be touring England.

Wouldn't say went for the drive, but def. pushed at it. Very unLaxmanlike as you say.

Coming straight out after 6 months and walking into a test match after a couple of nets isnt easy. That's what I've been saying all along.
Yeah, it takes time to get into the swing of things. But this is what we have come to expect of India at the start of every series... 8-)

That's the issue with having three bowlers and a Sammy. On a hot, humid day, milking them in the 2nd and 3rd sessions becomes easier.

Credit where credit is due. Bhajji and Raina are playing in a very matured fashion. A handy no. 8 is such a blessing.

I've always liked the guy's temperament, regardless of his technique. His debut hundred in SL also came in a tough situation, albeit on a flat wicket.

No........................

He always had a very good chance of doing well in the West Indies. But not at all confident with him in England.
In fact he could be as bad as South Africa except on a flatter wicket if he gets one.

Strange that West Indies are not bowling bouncers more to him too. Harbhajan pulled a couple and now they are not attacking Raina with the shorter ball too.

 Not too many instances where the tailender "shields" the proper batsman.

EDIT: Fine 50. Knocks like these in foreign soil, coming at 85/6 are priceless

He'll tour England Cevno. I'm not saying I necessarily want him in the squad or team, but I'm sure he'll be there.

Ganguly with a similar technique like Raina has a good record in England TBH. :p

But yeah, with Tremlett and Broad in the opposition, we should try out most of the other options we have before looking at Raina.

Oh wow, classy drives from Raina here.
