Samuels is really good, thank god they didn't play him in the first Test, he could have been the difference.

Chanderpaul's innings is the perfect example of a situation where scoring slowly is far preferable to scoring quickly in a test match. You just couldn't see this kind of partnership forming during Sharma and Praveen's earlier spells with the newer ball.

Looks a fascinating test this.

If WI can get a 50 run lead it could be enough to force a win. From a neutrals point of view i hope they do and set up a cracking finale on a similar pitch. Been far more interesting to watch than most tests worldwide in the last few years anyway.

He has no right to whatsoever. Hadn't you heard?

As this series is not operating the Decision Review System (DRS), the enhanced DRS standards and ICC technical official were not in place as would have been the case.
The article does not give a direct connection between the two though. Without that it is presumptive clutching at straws really...

They have to rely on the broadcasters and the replays they show in any case ,as happened in the world cup though the decision was not affected there. The ICC technical official is not there to select frames and replay but to oversee it and ensure their is no dodginess in terms of implementation ,which is alleged he can't do more than a certain extent as per terms of the licensing agreements.

If it was a excuse the ICC would have mentioned it clearly and how the official would have affected it ,because 2 failed at the world cup probably.

Sharma has bowled really well
He's got the "beat the bat a lot without really looking like taking wickets" disease. Seem to remember he used to move the ball a bit more earlier in his career, also used to get it to straighten a bit.

His action, rhythm and pace look good though. Definitely a lot better than he was in SA.

Yeah I was a bit worried that this series would be infested with spinning wickets and one absolutely horrendous tarmac road.

The pitches have been actually quite good so far, first with spin and now with something more for the pace bowlers. How many tours get two sporting wickets in a row?

Refuses to bowl a full-pitched delivery more often than once in 10 overs. If he's afraid of getting driven, give him a sweeper and ask him to pitch it up more!

It is the Jason Gillespie syndrome... :)
