That's good, you deserve it. I've been watching cricket at 4 am for the past year. :p

I fell asleep last game when Lara got out. I'm barely watching any of the game and am again going to miss India bat :(

Damn it bring on the tests. Earlier starts right?

Now I can't even watch the match, since my folks are watching a movie, saying they rarely get to watch a movie. Their choice of movies is terrible, making the ongoing match look good.

Back to topic, what do you think of Munaf as a bowler in ODI's?

Sarwan is so criminally underrated in ODIs. Really is.

Good batting Ramnaresh, making a game of this. If only we ran him out earlier.

Is Sarwan, going to make a ton?

Is this total defendable?

Is Powar auditioning for the Joe Pesci lookalike gig?

So many questions, so little point.

Has a long way to go, but has the potential IMO. Not good enough yet to be banked on IMO. Pathan, AA and Sreesanth all ahead of him ATM.

It has been a very mature, responsible innings by Sarwan - he really came through a bad patch when he was struggling to get the ball off the square.

Deserved a ton really - shame he was stranded

You can talk all you like about centuries not meaning anything and being no difference than a 99, but if I was Sarwan I'd be pretty damn livid. He deserved a ton.

AA may be nice and bowl a no-ball for Sarwan.

That said, he's not too far from a regular place in the ODI side, at least as a reserve. That will keep frontliner Sreesanth on his toes, which is a good thing. He's not been as lucky as Agarkar, and has bowled rather well, even if he hasn't been outright quick this time. That said, it's a bit strange why RP Singh, who bowled faster, and a better fielder, was dropped. Agarkar himself hasn't been that great, and has often had it easy, only to bowl rubbish at the wrong time, all the time. RP Singh and Sreesanth are still very new. Munaf can't be far behind.

Patel's ODI record so far isn't very flattering :(

Anyway bed time for me folks. Gnite. :)
Sreesanth went for 70 in three matches in a row against Pakistan, taking one or two wickets. He got four in his last match and is one of the better ODI bowlers for India now. Even RP Singh had an average first match, and has done well in the matches he got after that. Maybe Munaf can also improve, since he's proven in Tests that he can strike.

In ODIs, Munaf is no better than Zaheer/Nehra/Balaji. So no he cant and shouldn't be gauranteed a place even as a reserve. That place will probably go to a batsman once Tendulkar comes back. It will be tough for Dravid to pick between Kaif/Sehwag.

You've got it all wrong. Recently, RP Singh has been bad, Munaf Patel has been mediocre and Ajit Agarkar has been impressive. Agarkar's been accurate at 85.
I don't care if he's been lucky this time; he's actually bowled well.

Oh Arjun I haven't written him off, not by a long shot. I'm a big fan.

And your Sreesanth point is an excellent one. Sree looked woeful in his first few games, and then just improved immensely. Definitely hoping for much of the same from Munaf.

Seriously off to bed now, gnite. :p

Munaf hasn't been mediocre– just unlucky. RP Singh seems to be going through a bad patch, but that's just in three matches, and he's still one of the better ODI bowlers available. Agarkar's been impressive, except when you need him, then he lets out some meatball packages in crucial overs. That he's been the best bowler shows how much the Indian pace attack has underperformed so far.
