Five bowlers may have actually worked for the Indian side- they took 20 wickets in this game. Had it not been for the fifth bowler, they'd be way out of contention, chasing a 300+ total. At least here, we know clearly that Harbhajan and Ishant are not up to the mark. Harbhajan has had enough chances, not been among the wickets, and no more excuses for Ishant's free ride in the Test XI exist- even if he builds a partnership with Dhawan and the next bloke. That he played ahead of Umesh Yadav is baffling.

1) Harby's played literally 2 tests (Bangladesh and this one), how is that enough chances?
2) Ishant took 38 wickets @ 31 in 2014, WTF IS WRONG WITH U!

I'm pretty convinced Arjun doesn't actually watch any of our tests. Any talk of dropping Ishant now is ridiculous. He's been honest to god not terrible for a while now, which for an Indian fast bowler is gold-standard. And he's been very good this test, especially the first innings (I admittedly didn't watch the second).

to be fair, they did. Chandimal was out twice and Thirimanne once within the space of about 4 overs. The umpires just didn't give them.

Where's the 5 bowlers bandwagon now? Time and time again we throw away excellent, match winning positions with the ball and allow the opposition back into the match. Our bowlers have their moments when the conditions are in their favour or when the ball's new, but once the opposition begins to make a comeback it's like they just completely **** themselves and run out of ideas.

We might actually end up losing because of the lack of a no. 6
