Bet365 has the "Double Result" market though which I've found is extremely close to betfair's laying when you're talking about a Test match result.
You're still not arbitraged though. Because if a draw occurs you just get your money back.

On Betfair if a draw occurs you'll still win.

Tbh, I should start playing poker. Although only finishing fourth in the CricSim poker tournament probably isn't a glowing endorsement, even though it had 40 odd people in it, because it was CricSim.
 You will soon learn to blame it on the var1Ance.

I've always found it amazing that you don't tbh. Would expect you to love it and also be pretty good. But I'm not sure whether you have an impulsive-gambler side or not. Having one is a pretty huge disadvantage.

Nah, Double Result is a different market to Draw No Bet. Double Result lets you bet on two results at once, which is really just the same as betting against the third result. Unlike actually betting on the other two results separately, it doesn't take the bookies' margin into account twice. They don't actually have that market up now because India are so unlikely to win or I'd be able to show you.

I've found betfair actually have better odds in general, not just for laying, so I generally bet with them anyway when I can be bothered h4xing Australian live betting, but I don't agree with what you're saying.

Double result hey? I haven't bet with Bet365 in 2 years (barring Australian domestic cricket) so I had no idea that existed.

Betfair still markets itself on the ability to arbitrage. It's way simpler and calculates everything for you.

Of course the better odds too, even after betfair takes commission.

We are going at 2 runs per over.

Wtf is wrong with you guys? We have no intention whatsoever of winning. We are 200 runs off and playing out maidens with 21 overs to go. Plus the ball is spitting off the wicket.

Yeah when Gambhir fell I thought Dhoni might come out to have a slog just maybe. But it's pretty clear we're surviving only now.

This is going to be a rough 20 overs if we lose one soon. Would prefer at least 10-12 more from these two.

Indian fans:

What would you prefer:

Scenario 1:
India draws this test series and wins the World Cup

Scenario 2:
India wins this test series 2-1 and doesn't win the World Cup (but still put in a strong performance).

Curious considering the commentators are talking about the WC now.

This is a batting masterclass from Tendulkar on the art of defending...

Yeah, it's always been something I thought I'd enjoy but just haven't got around to getting into. I actually made a post about this on CricSim a week or two ago.

I definitely do like to gamble, but I don't think I'd call it impulsive given I record a four-figure profit every year on it.

Given the situation as is, um give me the World Cup please.
Yes but the scenarios I'm giving you, losing this series isn't one of them. So it doesn't matter about where this match is at.

Normally I'd have said draw and WC win.

But the excitement I had yesterday when it looked like we could win was possibly the most excited I've been in a long time as a cricket fan.

Not sure if a WC win would reach the heights I imagine I'd have felt if we won.

Think I'd trade WC for a series win here. This isn't me being a test elitist snob. I just really wanted to win in SA.

For those interested - if this match ends in a draw, and England win the Sydney test, the rankings table will look like this :

1) India 128
2) South Africa 117
3) England 115
4) Sri Lanka 109
5) Australia 107

No contest. Scenario 2. I'll throw in the '83 World cup if that guarantees a victory in England later this year.
