*Official* India in South Africa

What will India need to lead by to become favourites with the bookies?

Right now SA at $1.85 to India $2.32.
It took like 10 minutes

India are favourites again on Betfair. Punters being silly IMO. Overreaction to a couple of boundaries.

Except Mitch was bowling those over the wicket.

If Tsotsobe is bowling half volleys coming around the wicket, the only reason you will be dismissed is if you play the ball poorly. At test level on a pitch like this you can't not put away bad balls because you may play the ball like a ********, which Rahul did.

I agree re: Steyn and perhaps Kallis if he's swinging it out.
TBF, Tendulkar got out to Tsotsobe exactly the same way in the first innings.

Look at it from a bowler's perspective. Their entire plan, the lines, lengths and field settings are based entirely around trying to invite batsmen to drive through the off side because they know they have such a great chance of getting a wicket if they do. Take the ****ing hint. What are South Africa going to do about it if India just quit cover-driving? They'll just change plan, and end up giving away runs to shots less likely to get the batsman out.

And fwiw, in spite of the scorecard, I've seen much, much worse pitches.

Ah, the perfect bowling combination of Kallis-Harris is on now...I was predicting this might win the match for India, let's examine the brain farts...

We shouldn't score more than 10 runs of an over or they'll change bowlers.
10 runs per over for 3 overs (against Kallis, Harris and Lonwabo) might change the dynamics of the game...let them bring Steyn and Morkel on after that :)

Don't do it! It's a trap!

Harris always gets wickets because of this mindset and it's annoying.

Tbh, you raise good points and probably have convinced me.
