Whatever it takes!!!
I don't think Rudolph is anything outstanding, tbh. I always felt Mckenzie was the one youngster from RSA with real potential. He was quite horrible against spin but so are most players when they start off from teams like RSA. Dunno wat went wrong with him.

But yeah, given that Rudolph is the one in the reckoning, I guess he may come in for Amla. A left hander gives them that much more options at no.3, I guess.

Rudolph in for Amla in the 3rd test unless Amla scores in the 2nd innings, IMO. Thoughts?
Yeah. If SA lose this match and none of their top order bats well they might have lot of new faces in the batting lineup for the 3rd test. You'd have to think this is the last chance for Gibbs and if Smith fails in the second innings as well he surely couldn't be in the team for too much longer.

Amla is horrible and always has been - quota system at its worst!

Rudolph, Mackenzie, Diepennaar and quite a few others are better batsmen than Amla

Kallis, when fit, has to take some resposibility and bat no. 3 to shore up up this batting order.

Why come in at 2 - nothing just because youre more comfortable at 4 - at least delay the almost inevitable and strike a positive blow by sending your best batsman in early to face the music!

Huge news on the Kallis front, those two early wickets were massive and I can see another SA collapse on the cards.

If the Saffies are struggling to score on this wicket, wonder what the overrated Indian batting lineup will do ?

Still, its good to see the Saffies squirm for a bit

Zak, what a legend. Sree what a gun, and VRV, he just sucks
Are you even watching? VRV has bowled just as well if not better than the other two so far today. Uncalled for.

Yes I am watching. I turned it on after the 10th over and whatever I saw of VRV, it was nothing special. Way outside off side, down the leg. Only a couple near the off stump from what I saw.
