India's session by a small margin. Prince and Gibbs looking dangerous and the pitch is certainly not a bowler's paradise.

Far too many no balls for just the one session, but still a pretty good one for India. Hopefully we can pick up atleast one of these two early after lunch.

Haha yeah. Dravid needs to be more aggressive here. Kumble should replace Ganguly and VRV to come on after 2-3 overs from Zaheer.

If the Saffies are struggling to score on this wicket, wonder what the overrated Indian batting lineup will do ?

Still, its good to see the Saffies squirm for a bit
Are you trying to suggest that this Kallis-less SA batting line-up is actually better than the Indian one?

If so, you gotta watch more cricket.

Smith wins the toss and elects to bat. VRV Singh retained as Munaf is still not fully fit. Hall and Morkel in for Kallis and Steyn.

That's one hell of a pace attack for the Proteas. Ntini-Pollock-Nel-Morkel-Hall.
Kallis is a better bowler than Hall.

You can't really say Morkel is or isn't better than Steyn since he's on debut, and SA have been choosing Steyn ahead of him for some reason.

I was referring to variety more than actual ability. Morkel introduces a new element altogether to their attack. Even the regular attack is one hell of an attack.

As the commentators are saying - bad field placing and really bad using Ganguly, allowed the batsmen to get set after lunch.
