Seeing them in person, what did you think about the overall actions of the Indian pacers? I think most of them have OK actions except Harbhajan actually..but I don't play that close attention to them.

Really? I don't get that from the TV. I'll look for it next time.
Id not noticed on TV either. What was interesting was that I was thinking he was close to chucking and my wife turned to me and asked "Isnt that a throw?"

It looks very funky in real life. Im not condeming him, it just looks 'wrong'

Interesting. I'll play it in slow-mo and see what I can do. It could be an illusion perhaps based on the angle you saw it? Anyway, it might be true, I just didn't pick it up. Unlike Harbhajan, where you can noticeably tell.

To be fair, I didnt really analyse them. Apart from the obvious there was nothing much to notice.

More of a social and drinking day than a hard core cricket day.

So was the fat ass (Sehwag) leading the warmup drills? Or was it the coach?

3 white guys. One of which was Chappell but I dont know the rest. The coaches were stood waiting for 10 mins before Khan came out for a quick stretch and then the rest came of and did very little for 5 mins.

The fielding work was pointless. The bowling drill was a little better but still very poor.

Ugh. That pisses me off even more. That is so ridiculous.

Pardon my ignorance but who is DaDa?

There was a sign that said something like "Chepple (sic) must go, DaDa is coming back"

Ganguly, if it wasnt already obvious.
What on earth the point of recalling him to the test side is when he has no real future and has never been particularly great anyways is beyond me.

I know it is not just GC's fault, but I wonder now if India's early success under his stewardship was not a roll on effect of all the work JW had done over the previous 4 years?

Can I please have a race change, Michael Jackson style? Seriously, I feel so embarrassed being an Indian fan sometimes.
If all else fails mate try the standard English excuses:

1) Get humiliated in ODI's - ODi's arn't important mickey mouse cricket not bothered about results just using them to blood potential test players.

2) Lose/ struggle in test series - This perticular test series isn't important just using it as build up towards Ashes (important series for other country) everything is going as planned and team will be OK by said important series.

3) Lose/struggle in said important series - Afterall we did lose to best team in world was expected beforehand, key players were injured/ not fully fit after injury, young players will have matured by next series should be a lot more competitive.

4) Just repeat steps 1 to 3 until you win a series in which case justify all previous failures.

Worked for me for 16 years and after a while you even start to believe it yourself.

Classic.

Actually, I *DON'T* much care about ODI results...just that I fear the tests wont be much different. And this is an important series :(.

I really hope that India perform better in the test series so that the dedicated fans of this forum will have something to be happy about. Also if India can managed to produce a better all round effort then the cricket will be of a higher, and hopefully more enjoyable standard. I think that somebody (preferrably an Indian legend who "shed blood" playing cricket for his country) needs to go into the Indian dressing room and give them a stir up, just tell them how they aren't pulling their weight and don't deserve to be playing for India. You can't exclude guys like Kumble and Dravid even if they are performing, it has to be an address to the team as a whole.

Anyway on the so called warm up drills that India were doing, that about sums up the poor attitude and work ethic this team has. I don't think there is any doubts about the talent that some of these cricketers posess but the mental side of it just isn't there for a lot of them.

On a side note, congratulations to Sachin Tendulkar for bringing up his 14,500th run in ODI cricket. Also well played to Shaun Pollock who thoroughly deserved Man of the Match and Man of the Series, I was delighted to see Graeme Smith in the runs and my comments about AB de Villiers not being a capable ODI opener were a little premature it seems.
