Do we need a bowler who wont choke in the crucial overs? Damn right
Not so sure about choking, they just seemed stupid. They weren't bowling yorkers or slower balls, the two most obvious weapons at the death.
Pathan has never been a death bowler but I expected better from Zaheer and Agarkar at least.

I wonder just for once can India put on a good bowling performance through out the innings. I don't remember the last time it happen against a good side.

I would have cried, if it was like the Australian bowling attack and not the Indian bowling attack.

Embarrassing stuff by India to let it slide. Horrible death bowling. Get Pathan out of there.

TBH, there were some technical difficulties with my cable provider so I couldn't watch the match from the start (3 am), then I woke up at 5:30 to check if it was fixed, and to my delight not only was it fixed but South Africa were 130 something for 6!!!!!!! and Kaif JUST displayed some beautiful fielding to make it 130 something for 7!!!!!!!

But then it started, the onslaught... So I think I might've been the jinx... Gimme some advice, should I go back to sleep and wake up to see India win or stay up and watch India lose.

South Africa.

Even if you sleep I highly doubt India will be able to chase it down. Although I would like to see them put up a fight.

Actually you know what I still have hope I think India will cruise to victory with Sehwag and Sachin being the key players.

South Africa showing the advantage of playing proper batsmen right down the order, rather than bits-and-pieces players that most other countries (bar Australia) use. On a seaming wicket, South Africa could hammer anybody.

Alright, now. Bhajji, Pathan and Agarkar out for the next match, please.

Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid, Kaif, <insert batsman: Karthik, Mongia or Raina>, <insert batsman: Karthik, Mongia or Raina>, Dhoni, Kumble, Zaheer, Sreesanth, Munaf

If India get shot out again for >240 here, I can see Wasim Jaffer playing the next match. If he doesn't play it'll turn into a Walcott scenario.

Best team in the world at the moment. Ive been doing a piece on the anatomy of an ODI side and SA fit the make-up and structure perfectly.

Of course you still need the players, but the way this SA side has been designed is exceptional (barring a few strange selection decisions)
