Was this the worst umpiring performance in a test this year? I can think of 10 wrong decisions (both sides) off the top of my head. Probably 20.

I'd have said the MCG test was worse, the one thats just finished

It wasn't the umps. It was our top-middle order which is living on reputation alone.
Dravid got screwed, and I will never blame him for this loss, atleast Sachin did something in the first innings, Sehwag and Ganguly I mentioned, Dhoni played decent until he turned into an idiot, and Jaffer is also an idiot. Dhoni and Jaffer would be in 5) and 6).

Having watched both, I`d rate this one as having worse umpiring, easily. But I see where you`re coming from. :)

For all the talk of Indian batting being its strength... there is no-one to replace out-of-form players.

Yeah, blaming the umpires is great stuff. And it's not like you do it all the time or anything..

The umpiring was shocking, but actually blaming the umpires when you lose by 174 runs is just as stupid as some of the decisions. Top order batting was to blame for India, as well as, quite simply, some good cricket from Prince and Ntini. Rough umpiring decisions are part of the game - just like bad light, for example.
You are right, I don't do it a lot, except this game.

Yeah when its one or 2 bad decisions fair enough but when there's a whole lot of decisions gone against you. Mind does wonder what the hell is going on.
Apparently it was getting dark as well and only few overs away from lights being offered.. perhaps umpires wanted to end it quickly before it got to that.

You serious? MCG was wrong on LBWs, this was wrong on much much much more. Ntini not given out caught behind, Boucher not given out LBW, Dhoni not given out LBW, Amla given out wrongly LBW, Dravid given out wrongly LBW, Dravid given out wrongly caught behind, Sreesanth given out wrongly caught behind...

Blame ... our top-order 60 %, umpiring 30 %, vrv singh 5 %, rain god 5 %.
Dravid is part of the top order, don't blame him.. Sachin atleast put on a fight in the first innings. Blame everyone else.

I'll admit our batting was terible and the Proteas bowling was solid, but I'll never consider this a genuine loss.
Fair enough umpires make a few bad calls in every test and they might balance out, but when you 20 bad calls in a test something is seriously wrong.

Also since you don't know me that well, I suggest you stop attacking me. A lot of members in this forum know me and know I haven't blamed a single loss on the umpires besides this one.

Expected. Get over yourself.

The umpires aren't out to get you. There were some bad calls, yes, but allegations of bias all the time are really getting tiring. There were poor decisions on both sides, for one...

Gibbs given not out if he didn't walk.

Stop with the umpire bashing. They had a bad game - we lost because we can't bat to save our life.
Yes. You think we missed potentially the best batsman in the world for a match-saving situation just a little? He was given out wrongly twice, you know.
