yes but if you look at our history, how many times have we won or even drawn a test hanging on on a 5th day against a good and determined attack? you can probably count on one finger, tells you something about the character of the indian team, i would like nothing better than for that trend to be reversed tomorrow and tendulkar, laxman, gangs and dhoni making history for india but the odds are certainly against it unless the elements conspire against the south africans....

Conditions are overcast...so the rain and light might help us. But I don't really fancy facing their bowlers in such conditions either.

Update9.30 am local time: The start has been delayed. " We checked the reading," umpire Asad Rauf said." It was pretty poor. I went and asked Rahul Dravid whether he is interested in playing. He said no" [surprise! surprise!] "we informed Smith." "We shall inspect again in 15 minutes."

Light already beginning to help.

rain clouds can come and go, they are not completely trustworthy, what we really need is some solid rain to put a dampener on the proceedings...:)

Apparently play is likely in 10 minutes.

Still that'll make an hour lost for SA.
if india really put their minds to it, as they have shown in the past, doesn't take them that long to lose 8 wickets...

For some reason draw still comfortably favourite on Bet365.

Edit: Bad light offered and taken. That's why.
