Was Nel at his best against the Aussies? AFAIK, he was well below full pace but maybe that's a different series.
He was carrying a obvious injury and still came out of the series with very respectable figures. He was bowling in the mid 120s range for the most part.

Hope India can get to stumps without too many problems. Will make for a cracking day of cricket tomorrow. Kudos to Smith on his attacking declaration too. Could easily have batted on for another 15-20 overs and made it safe.

I seriously hope Sehwag isn't a part of the World Cup squad, his form is horrible. Gets out the same way all the time
Tell you what, we'll end up going into the WC old-school. Ganguly and Tendulkar will open, with Laxman, Yuvraj and Dravid forming the middle-order. Sehwag may play in the middle-order though. I also have a strange feeling Kaif and Raina will return after strong domestic showings.

Social, Uh, he avgs 50+ in ODIs?
Referring to Sehwag - averages over 50 in tests and cant be dropped in that form of game

He declared too late IMO, but better late than never. He'll be kicking himself if it rains tomorrow and India pull off a draw, because India really weren't going to chase even 325.

Not at his best with ball (looked to be carrying an injury and only took 6 expensive wickets in 3 tests) but never, ever shut up

BY the 3rd test, he was well and truly grating on Aussies' nerves and they obviously decided that they'd had enough

Right, but they weren't exactly fighting fire with fire in the cricketing sense. Nel's sledging is effective at times only because he has the talent to back it up. If he didn't have that against the Aussies, they didn't really do anything special by shutting him down.

You know if these two can survive this session we have a game on apart from the rain?

Jaffer always looks pretty good. I mentioned it at the start of the test actually. Every time I've seen him bat I've been impressed but I've never seen him make more than about 10. He does have a double ton against Pakistan (I think?) so he can obviously score runs, but this is a big innings for him IMO.
Yeah he looks good while defending. But his technique isn't as good when he plays forcing shots. It was noticeable during the WI series as well.

Considering India's history in chases, you can't say 'game on' until India are at 200 with 3 or less wickets lost.

Surely they can score 100 odd today since 30 odds over left, and light doesn't effect play, and like I said, if these too can survive, 150/1 seems a strong position

Even luck isn't with India! :@

I had a feeling that wasn't out, and the only reason Rauf gave it was because of the dramatic appeal by RSA.
