IMO there was only really one horrible one, which was Kumble vs. Boucher.Achtung Baby said:Can any body tell me how many decisons (Umpiring) went against india and who was the batsman to benifit ?
I recently changed my wallpaper from Elisha Cuthbert to Indian cricket ... you aren't even worthy of my recycle bin.silentstriker said:Sure sure...thats what you say, but I bet you have them as your wallpaper too and secretly talk about my rugged handsomeness.
Based on the comments by members on here - all of the batsmen (and even some who weren`t playing) received more than generous decisions. Smith was the luckiest with only 47 bad calls falling in his favour.Achtung Baby said:Can any body tell me how many decisons (Umpiring) went against india and who was the batsman to benifit ?
You know you want to stay on.adharcric said:Agreed with Jono regarding the chances. ^^
EDIT: I'm officially going to sleep now. I think.
Yeah it is odd how they treat Hall. It's like they're not quite sure whether he's a batsman or an all-rounder. They could've even moved Smith down the order and had Hall open - he's not likely to do much worse than Smith has so far.Jono said:Boucher usually bats 7 though, but him and Pollock were moved one position up because of Kallis missing. I don't think he'll do it consistently.
But the odd thing with Hall is, if you look at his test career, most of his innings have either involved him opening the innings, or coming in at 8. He's only ever batted in the middle order 3 or 4 innings. Weirdest thing, so they trust him to open, or to almost be a tailender, but never a middle order player, and generally always behind Boucher and Pollock.
Sure, getting defensive now and just covering up. You have a man crush on me.adharcric said:I recently changed my wallpaper from Elisha Cuthbert to Indian cricket ... you aren't even worthy of my recycle bin.
In FC cricket he's a genuine all-rounder, but he's more of a bowler in ODIs. In Tests he hasn't done enough (yet) either batting or bowling.Turbinator said:But what is Hall really, more of a batsmen or a bowler?
Because of a lack of opportunities, the only way I describe him is he's a bits-and-pieces player at test level.Turbinator said:But what is Hall really, more of a batsmen or a bowler?
Accept it - He should start thinking about retirement. j/kJono said:What makes the day worse, but had nothing to do with the umpires, was Sachin dropping Prince, and then hurting himself.
Yes, so far down he'd be playing in Jo'burg, while the others are playing in Durban!Langeveldt said:I wouldn't have sent Gibbs down the order, the man can bat.. I'd have sent Smith down
