not exactly...guruvayoor is a very famous hindu temple in kerala where he hails from and guruvayoorappan(the presiding deity in the temple, so to speak) is lord vishnu of the holy hindu trinity of brahma(creator), vishnu(preserver), and shiva(destroyer)...the name shanthakumaran sreesanth is a typical hindu name...kerala is the state that has the highest % of christian population in india so he might have got that gesture from christian friends or something or maybe he is the product of a mixed marriage, not sure about that...
There you go. Shows you how much I know.

South Africa have really gone off the mark in recent years in their push to challenge Australia has number #1 in the worls, real inconsistent performances have really hurt them even though the side they have has such great potential.

Buts its only the 1st test, maybe they will improve as their summer develops.

You must be mad, I'd have an SA win at about 5% at the moment
Obviously. It's SS we are talking about. He always must doubt India in some wy or another.

When they win by three wickets, don't come crying because I will hold that over you forever.

really dissappointing performance from Sa top order. u seee average bowler like Sreesanth is geting thier wickets. if they continue thier bad performance Pakistan would beat Sa 3-0 in test series in pressance of asif and shoiab.
Average bowler or not, he bowled like a legend today. Everything outside off or on off, and getting hte ball to swing. This guy has a lot of talent, and even if he becomes a average bowler in the future, how he played today was enough to call him good for a little while.

Honestly SS, we get it, we get your attitude, but just let it go far out.

And people just ignore him when he's being negative for the sake of it and for attention?

India are hopefully on the verge of one of their greatest ever test victories, let's enjoy every ball of the 4th day. :)

Hey I am the one, that unlike you, puts an away series victory over SA above the WC. So I fully know the weight of the situation. Don't put the cart before the horse though, we still need five wickets and until they get them, the match isn't won.

And I gave them almost a 3/4 chance to win. What % chance are the oddmakers giving?

Unlike me? Get off your high horse SS seriously.

And so what if the match isn't won. Enjoy the moment, going into the 4th day with a possible victory, stop seeking attention.

Attention? I gave my % chance of winning a long time ago, Dravid brought it up again, not me.

Unlike most people on the forum. Not on a high horse, just responding to the fact that it is ludicrous to suggest that I do not view this as one of the biggest victories in Indian test history (along with Adelaide).

SS clearly doesn't.
I don't get what? That its one of the biggest victories ever? Hell yea, I get it. Or to enjoy it? Yea, I get that too..once we win. Trust me, I'll be the most jubilant guy when it happens. And I never said otherwise. I am just cautioning people from over confidence early.

I never said you didn't think it was that, point to me where I did? I said you're not enjoying it, because you're being a negative nancy trying to bring down the mood of everyone just like you did in the WI tour thread.

Fair enough you're trying to stay down to earth and realistic, but you're flaunting your negativeness on purpose, and to deny that is a lie IMO.

Anyway Australia have just regained the Ashes, hopefully India can win tonight as well.

I'm trying to say that lets wait till we actually win. Its one thing to enjoy being on top, and I loved the fact we actually bowled SA out with pace for 84. If I weren't enjoying every moment, I wouldn't be awake every night and taking off from work monday just to see tonight's probable victory. I'm crazily addicted, and its ludicrous to say that I don't enjoy it.

That *IS* a lie. I gave my stats a couple pages ago, in terms of our chances of winning it. THAT'S ALL I SAID, until someone brought it back up.

Anyway, there is no point in this discussion. Let's hope we finish this quick.

To change topics, anyone read that interview with Ganguly on Cricinfo?

It was good that he gave a lot of credit to Rahul, and talked about how he and other senior members of the team will give him advice, whilst not trying to overwhelm him too much.

Also I laughed his remark about Sachin never going to be dropped :p And how if they don't win they don't deserve to go back to the dressing room lol.

silentstriker

The Wheel is Forever
Yea, he has done well since coming back. Hopefully, the atmosphere in the dressing room is OK and he can still be a contributing member of the side. He definatly cemented his place for the rest of the series. He was India's best captain in at least two decades, so you have to root for him even if you didn't like how it all ended the last time around.
