The more important question for me is which saying came first "tearing assholes" or "shitting bricks" or is this idea such a scary thought that each culture produced their own metaphor independently...

Delhi boys have excellent vocabularies. That was probably wasted on Murali Vijay, I don't know if he would have understood it.

Was watching India's u-19 match vs Aussies. This Nagarkoti looks some raw talent. Bowling speeds reached 146km. Young fast bowlers is something we miss.

Eh, it sounds vulgar but it's slang for "they'll be terrified if we bat till the evening". No one takes "shitting bricks" to mean literally shitting bricks.
For sure, lost in translation. Didnt the saffers once get called out for using an Afrikaans work that sounded like and English slur in Aus once. Anyone remember the incident? I think it was in Hobart.

Been reading a new thing in newspapers these days (also there in today's paper) and it is terrifying for me. And that is both Shahstri and Kohli have more faith in recent forms than conditions or anything else when it comes to selecting the side.
Hmmm guess that "recent form" criteria is only applicable in case of selecting Rohit over Rahane. Otherwise how come Ishant playing in this series and not Jadeja? And how Shami gets a chance after the first test and not Bhuvi?

Yea in India the ball seams around, jags in and it also bounces steep off a good length, as well as over the head of the batsman regularly from shorter length. SA seem a bit afraid of India, complaining constantly about the pitch, about how it is going to be a dustbowl for Ashwin.

These conditions are simply a blend of SA and subcontinent. Nothing more!! If these were Indian conditions, India would have ****ed the SA bowling but they couldn't, it was not easy to bat against any SA bowler, likewise you couldn't get free wickets either like the previous test where you do nothing and pitch does everything for you. This is why SA is pissed. They wanted to bowl India out for 130 not 300. Lazy ****s.

There was a graphic about how SA bowlers are not used to bowling many overs in a innings because of the conditions they usually bowl in. In the last two yrs or something, there has been only one occasion where they have had to bowl more than 110/120 overs. This explains their constant rants this whole test even though they won the toss (hugely important) and won't have to bat last. So all these idiots need to cut the ****.

The commentary has been one of the worst, constantly have to mute it.

You mean you don't like it when Gavaskar sounds like an Indian uncle expressing disappointment and frustration every time a Rohit or a Vijay gets out?

How about Mr. I Told You So, Sanjay Manjrekar, himself? He's the commentary equivalent of forum users digging up year old posts to virtual pat themselves on the back. Yeah, we remembered, sport.

You raise a good point.

Dont let it bother you too much you know Morkel is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

The wanderers groundsman is probably going to read his comments and double the stadium water bill.

Should be fun. I wouldnt risk buying day 4 tickets for that test.

Quite true. It's kinda like the Dharamshala pitch against Australia. It played quite a bit to Australia's strengths but also had help for the home team's bowlers too. Good pitch, I say.
