This is about as good as it gets for me right now.... ABdV getting his fifty, Kohli in a strop, wet ball nullifying reverse and Ashwin. Woo-hoo! And then going off for bad light just when it looked interesting for India!

Let it be a farewell match for Parthiv and never ever he should be selected. Time for some young blood. Atleast time will be on their side to learn and improve.

I think he will play all 3 formats till the World Cup. Given the break he has had, I don't see him picking and choosing series again. However irrespective of how the World Cup goes, I don't see him continuing. If SA win it, he would have achieved the one cricketing goal that motivates him. If they don't, I think he will be too emotionally drained to continue and realistically he is not playing till 2023.
I hope SA don't pick him for T20s.

We know the 50-over commitment is till the World Cup and it is massive for him (and others)

Test cricket. I think they want to keep them separate and they will have their own goals and building with younger players in the squad and try to build to something. I just think he (and others) will want to go out on a high in a big series and 2 years would be a nice sort of time to build something and leave a good space for the next generation of test cricketers. So even if the WC ends in disappointment there is a chance we could see them in India and home to England. Well, I hope.

Just saw this somewhere. Stump mic caught Virat saying, "Shaam tak khelenge, inki g***d fat jaegi". Then there was Pandya run out.

Eh, it sounds vulgar but it's slang for "they'll be terrified if we bat till the evening". No one takes "shitting bricks" to mean literally shitting bricks.

What is this malarkey? In the age of day/night tests, they can't turn on the lights to extend play. 2 hours of cricket were lost today. Embarrassing for a modern sport...but handy for the saffers who need some time to get their heads straight.

I guess that's the reason Dravid decided to stick with u-19 team for time being
Now that would be a good pick for an international side. Dravid was always a cool, intelligent head and whenever I hear him speak on cricket, he clearly knows what he is talking about.

Maybe England should snap him up as batting coach.

He'll certainly be accorded more respect there than with any potential tenure with this lot.

After watching kumblegate he might not be interested in that until Virat is captain.
