first of all have you heard of the name Atapattu and he played all the matches so gunawardene was not the only lankan opener. Second of all as for gunawardene scoring runs in the past (hahahaha) the man averages 16 in test matches. Also dilshan scored 170 runs in 3 test matches which is not the bulk of runs for the team also his highest score was 65. If you want to know who scored the bulk of the runs it would have been Jayawardene my friend who scored over 250 runs at an average of 51. So please get the facts write before you start to type.
You know what there is a 22 yard thng on a cricket field its called the "Pitch" and some times it is helpfull for the bowlers and sometimes for the batsman .In englnds match it was more supporting to the bowlers and in this game its in the batsman favour.Get it Einstein.Originally Posted by GladiatrsInBlue

Never mind the fact that this wicket appears to be a road, and two months ago we played on minefields...GladiatrsInBlue said:IKP gets the wkt of Mohd Waseem
Pak A are 32-2 in reply to India's huge total.

This is going to make for a tough decision as to who should partner Sehwag in the first test. Jaffer deserves it on form and Gambhir on continuity and international record (though not lacking in form really) ... they should just ask Chappell to make the choice.TIF said:India, also played well with everyone from the top 6 scoring a half-century. Now, all 8 of Indias batsmen have made a half-century in the last match played by them. Sehwag and Ganguly, hit 50s in the ranji-match. It is always good to have the whole batting line-up in form at the beginning of an important series.
And Inzamam ul Haq can run faster than Jonty Rhodes.shahg said:Pakistan win 2-0 The test series and go all guns blazing and win all the ODI matches!
What international record? He has been poor in tests so far if you exclude minnows.adharcric said:This is going to make for a tough decision as to who should partner Sehwag in the first test. I would love to see Jaffer in as a fan.deeps said:I don't know why this discussion is taking place. Gambhir is the Test Opener along with Sehwag. Gambhir hasn't done anything wrong, to warrant being dropped. He is still very young, let him be.
If you want to bring Jaffer in, look elsewhere for a weakness.
