I am a big fan of Razzak, as i love his batting in ODI, but i must say that Razzak is hardly a bowler he once was. A younger Razzak was good for test matches as an allrounder, but now i think Razzak can only make the test team coz of his battingXuhaib said:Razzaq for Rana is not a bad move. I mean Rana isnt miles ahead of Razzaq especially at the test level.
Razzaq easily the more superior batsman.
Agree and it is extremely foolish IMO. Gul instead of Razzaq would have been a better move. Even Yasir Arafat instead of Razzler would have been a better move. We are packing our team with bits and pieces players and in tests you need 'specialists'.Comma said:This certainly reeks of a defensive mindset by the Pak captain.
Bob loves Allrounders, when he was the coach of SA, the SA team was packed with AR's.Therefore i'm not surprised to see Malik,Afridi and Razzak , all in one Pak team.Mecnun said:Agree and it is extremely foolish IMO. Some early movement and turn... so yes its better.OZOZ said:Is the wicket any better than Lahore??? or is it the same old dead track ??
I would not quite go that far but give the lad a chance. I did not think he looked all that special to be honest.vandemataram said:Indian pace attack has great depth. Out goes Agarkar and comes in RP Singh, a great talent!!
I'm only called him a great talent, that doesn't mean that he's a great pacer.Mecnun said:I would not quite go that far but give the lad a chance. I did not think he looked all that special to be honest.
You know what, its not that. Abdur Razzaq is his best pal and he has seldom dropped him when fully fit. Either that, or he thinks very highly of Abdur as a test bowler.Comma said:This certainly reeks of a defensive mindset by the Pak captain.

This is Test Cricket, where batsmen are needed, not hitters.Arjun said:In that case, why not have one Munaf Patel in the team in place of Ganguly and Yuvraj? Not only is he decently fast and also more than a few inches taller than Agarkar (and a lot better built), he's also a good hard hitter of the ball.
