In terms of all rounders, pathan is showing good qualities with da bat and so comparing him with Razzaq would put pathan ahead.
That's like comparing an apple with a spanner and concluding one is better than the other.

Better yet, have Raina as a super-sub for Sreesanth. Keep five bowling options intact. Oh well, they could have selected Ramesh Powar or Munaf Patel...
From what I hear, they might be playing 6 specialist batsmen AND a batsmen as supersub. If they only play 5 specialist batsmen, Raina must be the supersub as he can bowl a bit as well and is brilliant in the field. As for the bowling attack, Kartik is probably a better choice even if Bhajji is fit, as he's been butchered in the test series. Pathan is a certainty. Sreesanth must play as he may surprise Pakistan .. think about it, the prospect of an Indian bowler with pace would be shocking to the opposition. Then a toss-up between RP Singh and Zaheer Khan, perhaps Zaheer. Although it seems Agarkar is high in the stakes too.

Can you please tell me how fast is Sreesanth, like are we talking that he touches 150 or is he around 140 or 130. As fast as Shoaib or just around Rana or worse like Razzaq.

yup i want to know too. From what i understand, he bowls in the high 130's to mid 140's.

But cricinfo lists him as "right arm medium" which is usually 120 odd.

I'd say his average speed is 140 or so, if I remember right. He should be fast-medium. This is how I personally classify them:
90+ fast (145+), 85-90 fast-medium (137-144), 80-85 medium-fast (129-136), 70-80 medium (113-128)

Cricinfo is pretty inaccurate when it comes to bowling speeds. Rana Naved should be RFM, McGrath RMF, etc.

Although that is generally accepted as the way they are classified, it is gramatically incorrect and annoys the hell out of me. How fast medium could be slower than medium fast I'll never know.

Shoaib is out? Ankle injury again? I hadn't heard anything about him being doubtful leading up the game...

3.1 Mohammad Asif to Pathan, no run, bit of width outside the off
stump, Pathan looking to drive on the up gets nowhere with the
shot and the ball goes past the outside edge
3.2 Mohammad Asif to Pathan, no run, and again! good length delivery,
moving away late, Pathan drives at it with no real conviction and
once again gets beaten by a long away, this is top-class bowling
from the young man
3.3 Mohammad Asif to Pathan, no run, make that three in a row! another
good length delivery outside the off stump, seaming away late,
Pathan drives at it away from his body but fails to make contact
3.4 Mohammad Asif to Pathan, no run, oh dear! make that four in a row!
same line and length delivery, seaming away late, Pathan fourth
time lucky as he fails to make contact trying to drive it away
through covers
Asif right on the money from the word go here!
3.5 Mohammad Asif to Pathan, no run, finally the drive makes contact
and the ball goes straight to the fielder at point
3.6 Mohammad Asif to Pathan, no run, short of a good length delivery
outside the off stump, Pathan beaten outside the off stump, end of
a fantastic over!
What an over that must have been to watch. Stupid Foxtel not covering it...

I have to say, Asif was looking extremely good early on, seriously like McGrath.
As I speak, Pathan is starting to look dangerous.

Interesting Turn-Around, different bowler though

I think he nicked that one but he sure is riding on that luck

Code:
12.6 Umar Gul to Pathan, one run, driven just wide of the cover fielder,
easy single to end the over, end of a fantastic over for India
12.5 Umar Gul to Pathan, FOUR, good length delivery outside the off
stump and that's routed through extra cover for the 5th four of
the over! Gul being taken apart here! - by the look of things fine
leg will soon get a permanent resident
12.5 Umar Gul to Pathan, (noball) FOUR, and it gets worse for Pakistan,
Gul strays down the leg side and Pathan just flicks it away to the
vacant fine leg fence, easy runs - India racing away at this stage
12.4 Umar Gul to Pathan, FOUR, make that three in a row! good length
delivery, looked like the slower one, but this one is again bit
too wide outside the off stump and Pathan drills it away to the
cover fence - Pathan on a roll here
12.3 Umar Gul to Pathan, FOUR, short and wide outside the off stump,
again bowled from round the stumps, Pathan gets enough room to
free his arms and the cut shot makes perfect contact - no stopping
        that!
12.2 Umar Gul to Pathan, FOUR, inside edge and the ball races away well
wide of the diving keeper, welcome runs for India
12.1 Umar Gul to Pathan, no run, short and wide outside the off stump,
bowled from round the wicket, Pathan slashes hard at it and the
ball goes straight to the keeper, not sure if he got a touch on
it, loud appeal for caught behind turned down

at this point, pathan has played too many valuable innings to continue being classified as a bowler who can bat a bit.....in fact right now, his batting is proving to be more dependable for india than his bowling, his first over hattrick in karachi notwithstanding...
