***Official*** India in New Zealand 2020

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Southee playing anything but tests is a joke. It's like if England played Matthew Hoggard for 140 ODI's - sensibly they saw him as a one format bowler. Only valuable in the most extreme bowler-friendly conditions but otherwise he's neutralised
I think the Broad/Anderson comparison is better. Two guys who were white ball mainstays but it obviously wasn't working. Them concentrating on red ball not only has done England wonders in the short format it's let that duo concentrate on Tests and become a fearsome pair.

Ishant is another one

His rise neatly coincides with being dropped from LO games

This was, what, Southee's 5th or 6th Super over? The only other person from memory who has bowled a super over for us, of course, has been Boult.

How are we going to get guys used to pressure and gain experience if we don't give them opportunities in these sorts of series that are leading up to a world cup? Southee already had a go this series, Bennett probably should've been given a crack - or perhaps Sodhi or Santner who were the best bowlers in the match for us.
Vettori bowled a super over for us once vs Chris Gayle. Let's just say it didn't end well.

yep, even though it's not the best nz A attack he'd have faced his ruthlessness and strike rate is impressive. you'd have to think he must be close to next in line for india.

solia is getting a lot of overs thanks to duffys injury which is good long term. he's aucklands 5th bowler so our selectors wouldn't have had much of a chance to get a look at him.

i wonder if duffy would have made the odi squad if he was fit. he's never been truly forgotten.

Solid from Chapman and Cleaver after coming in at <200. Siraj’s been disappointing.

interesting that they're giving cole mcconchie games, and an extended bowl. he, rachin and chapman fall into that 'batsman who can bowl better than part time spin in domestix' catergory that will probably be closely followed before the next wc.

Whatever it takes!!!
NZ wickets are such a tease. All swing and help for bowlers for first couple of days but then flatten out to be the slow roads that batsmen never get out in and only have to get themselves out.

Ready for the T21. It will be freakish if that happens. Wonder what the odds are with TAB for a tie?

bowling nerds, does kuggs lose pace with that delivery jump that goes kinda sideways instead of straight through? i hope that makes sense.

looks like he's having one of his good rhythm days.

Wouldn't affect his pace, his pace comes from quick arm and strong shoulder into the delivery. Quite an unorthodox bowler and run up is not smooth. The lines does get affected when he falls over though. The ones with good run up and action through the crease if they fall over they lose pace not Kuggs.

India has been playing spin worse than NZ. Quite inexplicable. India no more the monster batting side they used to be 15 years back.
