I have time for Dube's batting as well, we have enough proper batsman, need a slogger down the order. Him and Pandya at 6 and 7 can get us the 50s in the last 5 overs we have been lacking.
Although they can't be relied upon to bowl 40% of the overs between them, so we end up playing one more all-rounder at the cost of a proper batsman. I'd never support that. In the current XI where Pandya is not available we can get rid of Shardul who is playing for his lower order batting I presume.

Rohit
Rahul
Kohli
Iyer
Pant?
Dube
Pandya
Jadeja
+ 3 bowlers

They just need to handle 20% of the overs.

i wonder if milne will ever be fit again. lockie, trenty and the worlds fastest gavin larsen would make a quality trio if none of the current crop work out.

It feels like only yesterday that he was a 17 year old running in and scaring the **** out of Matthew Bell in the Plunket Shield. Shocking to think that it’s been 9 years since his international debut.

He’s barely been on the paddock in the last 12 months, and when he has he’s looked well down on pace. I tend to think that if he was ever going to make it he would’ve done it by now. He’s never even managed longer than about 3 months without breaking down with something.

Still a frantic push to drop Munro apropos of nothing I see. Isn't even having a bad series.

I'm kinda hoping for him to fail just so that the chatter starts making sense.

Munro isn't going anywhere for now. I think they should go with him at least till the end of this series and if he doesn't deliver then think about a different player. Maybe Seifert should open if Munro can't give good frantic starts.

Hoping for a turn around in result tonight. If we lose tonight then the rest of the T20 will attract no interest. I can already see all the good work done over the years by Black Caps dwindling away in the last couple of months. Hope we win for the sake of interest in the series.

Hope Kuggs is taking note, banging it in short doesn't look like the way to go early on.

Bit damning when the gun bowler of the Super Smash gets, well, supersmashed. But was either too short or too wide (or both) in that opening spell, not a smart performance. Hope they don't give him the Ben Wheeler treatment, would like to think he'd sort things out.
