Also, loving the faith being given to Bennett. Expensive but I think the bag of wickets will kickstart things for him. Not easy to come in and stamp your authority from ball 1 against basically India's best bats at the moment.

Miserable from Sants. Appreciate the intent in going after Jadeja but you actually have to be good enough to attack him in that pinch hitter role. He's an accumulator. Can't hit for s**t.

Was weird that Kuggeleijn only got two given he was bowling very nicely for once, and equally weird that they'd promote Santner to 4 when some big hitting was required.

If you pick CdG against India he needs to bat at #3 or he will get to face spinners. A "spin-watchman" experiment just means less balls for Taylor + Seifert to face.

With Santner at least they were trying to do things differently against Jadeja/Chahal, so no problems with that. CdG at least against this attack more useful down the order trying to hit from ball one.

Meanwhile Kane is playing very well indeed here, finding ways to score where the others are scratching around. Badly needs support from the other end.
