Yeah, with all 3 skyers (Ryder, Southee, Ronchi) the player never actually got a hand on it.Reckon that fielding practice needs to be at night, these bloke are struggling under lights.
You have any idea what a hedge is?lol @ Jono losing money
Where are the singles?
The difference is that NZ's bowlers, even the relatively crappy ones, are not really that crappy.I don't know about that. We've chased down in similar fashion overseas too, not just in India
Dhoni or Bhuvneshwar as openers for this series
there's no ****ing way DL gave us an unfair advantage. 340-350 was on the cards.Dhoni's concession speech was interesting. An expert analysis but inwardly focussed. I havn't given too much thought as to whether Duckworth lewis gave us an unfair advantage like he claims.
We've done it to Malinga tbf.The difference is that NZ's bowlers, even the relatively crappy ones, are not really that crappy.
Moreover, NZ's fielding, even when it's relatively poor, is not really that poor.
Finally, NZ's field placements and captaincy of late, even when it's poor, is not really that poor.
Not to take away credit from Dhoni and Kohli, who are amazing batsmen. But the weak link in the bowling here was Corey Anderson, who was going at 10 an over. Most teams have a weak link to go after when they're facing a stiff chase, but when it's a chase in which they need 12 an over, a run rate of 10 is not that bad.
There wasn't much they could do.
Well I disagree. Australia's bowling and fielding in ODIs isn't that crappy either. It's just a reliance on the two best ODI players in the world that's hurting us. The others didn't contribute as much as they shouldve and unfortunately Kohli got out to pies in both matches. Plenty we can do better. The difference is that NZ's bowlers, even the relatively crappy ones, are not really that crappy.

Yeah, nothing unfair.there's no ****ing way DL gave us an unfair advantage. 340-350 was on the cards.
Nah... Shami and Bhuvi did OK. Sharma obviously needs to gagf but that won't happen so nothing we can do. Problem in these two matches and the two in SA has been the openers . If they get us off to decent starts, we win pretty much every game, especially chases. It's most definitely been our strength for years. It's just gone missing in the last few gamesWe've done it to Malinga tbf.
I think people are overplaying this. India's problem is the bowling, not the batting. They fell just short of chasing an extraordinarily large total.
At the toss, he selected to field first knowing that there was rain in the air and that the Duckworth Lewis system more often than not favoured the team batting second. He even hinted at that during the post toss interview.Dhoni's concession speech was interesting. An expert analysis but inwardly focussed.
