have only been checking the scorecard from time to time, but what a match, amazing fight from NZ!

God this series has been awesome.

The teams are so evenly matched in these conditions and we've had great fight shown from both teams. How disappointing that it's only a two test series.

Goes without saying that NZ will be very, very happy with that session. Quality stuff from Baz and BJ.

Dhoni might be starting to get a little worried now. His side's still way ahead in the game, but they'd be desperate for a wicket to make sure the target doesn't get beyond 200. They'd still back themselves to chase anything sub-300, but awkward chases are never much fun.

Yeah this.

And what's with the Wellington weather! Would be nice to have a horrible strong southerly wind for the Indians to have to contend with as well as these two batsmen :D

Rooting for these two to stay for at least another session. Great to see some class and application from NZ

Also, hope there's no nervous nineties for Watling. Could the Indian bowlers kindly dish up three leg side half volleys straight after lunch?

Well isn't this starting to get a bit tasty! BJ and Baz will need to stay there for at least one more full session before a draw/win starts to become a serious possibility. Still, this has been a terrific performance from both batsmen, and if New Zealand do still lose this test they will certainly be able to raise their heads high.

this stand is just stopping us from seeing what we really want to see: Southee hitting 6666666s

I think we need to bat into half of session 1 on day 5 to be safe with a lead of at least 300.

The pitch is obviously getting better and better and India will come out looking for quick runs so them chasing down 200-250 still sees them hold the advantage IMO.

Regardless of what happens from this point though, there's so much to be proud of from our guys.

would put money on India at 1.9 if I wasn't at work.
This is still insanely close to free money in a two-horse race (not really three, as the weather is predicted to stay as is). I'd be walloping a couple hundred on, more for the fact that I never win a thing at the TAB and that might result in a famous victory.

More likely it'd result in the forecast changing, the heavens opening and a draw. But hey, 1-0 series win.

Don't forget the Neesh. With a day and a half to go, he would have a good chance of settling in if he can handle the pressure.

After that, you wouldn't expect more than 50 out of the rest. Another 100 would be priceless from these 2.

depends how tired we can make india. fresh attack watchman and slog happy tail could drive a tired attack over the line between sanity and insanity.

we're a long way away from hope though.
