Big call to promote Ashwin; hasn't really done anything in one day cricket at any recognised level to suggest he'd be up for this. Jadeja may be technically poor but he'd have the wherewithal to pace the innings here if that wasn't exposed.

Ashwin is better at rotating the strike than he is at hitting quick runs. If miraculously these two manage to get a partnership going, Jadeja is better equipped to score those quick runs at the end of the innings than Ashwin, so ideally you want to save Jadeja for as late as possible.
