But how much pride would you have if it was 50 from 50 but England all out in the last over?
Obviously he'd have less pride because England would lost but the risk it could happen shouldn't stop him playing shots, just very risky shots.

Also if Sreesanth is going serve up crap like that you can't blame him.

International 12th Man
600 wkts

is Kumble's stated ambition. He's 35 away from them , and even on bad days takes a couple. So another 10 matches will get him there. So expecting that to be his milestone for retirement.

Don't really understand quite what England are doing. They aren't going for the win, so why play all these shots?
I'm not sure either team has known their tactics for the last couple of days. First Dravid with the declaration and some guys batting fast but him batting incredibly slow...And now Vaughan seeming to refuse to even bother trying to chase the runs and save the series.

I know who Pietersen was playing for though...

No real outstanding man of the series for me either, Zaheer is the obvious candidate for an excellent second Test and being solid in all the rest though. It's more of a credit to India that pretty much everyone contributed to the win and they were able to do it with their best batsmen out of nick for most of it.

A lot of credit must go to Jaffer & especially Karthik IMHO. Opening was seen as an area of weakness for the Indians before the series, but they've comfortably outperformed their more vaunted opposite numbers.

Would be interesting if there was another day to this Test....England would be in a decent position to win it.
True, but India wouldn't have declared their first innings if that was the case - and they might have even scored a few more runs in it if it actually had a purpose. :p
