In the first two tests, the pitches were high quality and perfect for your team. Too bad the unheralded Indian seamers ran through your batsmen in your home conditions.
They were just good Test wickets, that's it. Didn't particularly favour anyone.

That was quite a ridiculous innings, really. They scored 180... surely they'd back themselves to score 180 tomorrow if they needed to. I just don't get it really, especially given the way they went about it.

And that's great IMO. The wicket for the third test has been really dire though. Not only is it exactly the opposite of what England wanted, but it's been quite dire for the neutral for the most part as well.

They favored seam and swing. What more do you want?
They just favoured swing really, to favour England they would have had more pace and bounce in them. Obviously the toss has been pretty important in these last two Tests, so having an important but random element like that doesn't help either when you're favourites to win.

India need a wicket. It will be a big mental boost to England if they can go in without loss. Dravid really messed up here, and gave England a lifeline. Bad captaincy, and worse innings from him.

In context of the series though, is it that ridiculous? It's made it nigh on impossible for England to win the game. Lets be honest, a series win is a series win, whether its 1-0 or 2-0. They've given England just about no chance to notch up the runs needed to tie the series. Their best chance was if they were made to follow on, really.

They need 2 wickets before stumps to make up for that 2nd innings disaster, it was a complete waste of innings which they could have used tomorrow by enforcing the follow on.

I doubt they would have even needed the 2nd innings with the 300+ lead they had and the bowling conditions earlier today.
