Dravid gone, Collingwood strikes again.
good news imho... was just making it easier for england to draw by still being in the middle... even if india fold for another 20 or 30 runs. They are still in the box seat to win this match.

India should have enforced the follow-on. They would not have been at this position then. Plus, they had a lead of 320.

They batted instead. It would have been OK if they batted positively. But that did not happen either.

They rather draw than lose the match.
How many times have teams chased 400+ successfully.... maybe 2 or 3 times at most in over 100 years of cricket history. KP will run of partners chasing 400.

As I said in a previous post, theres alot on the line here; losing first test series since 2001 being the most prominent. What difference does losing 2-0 to 1-0 mean?

In the end it doesn't matter as India's pretty much already won the series but it would mean alot to the players if they drew the match rather than lose it imho.

anyway India batting like a team batting under the pressure of being 400 runs behind.... you'd think they were the ones behind in series. This is really dire cricket in my opinion.

Nah I don't mind what Dhoni's doing. 4 sessions left in the test, and whilst the series is obviously the main priority, 3 1/2 sessions with a target of 500 should be enough to have a crack and make it 2-0.

Hopefully India come out guns blazing after tea and quickly get to 500..... i hope they don't bat any longer than 1 hour.

Just referring to two overly aggressive shots he played against Panesar - came down and went for a big one straight to mid-off and then tried it again despite Monty's adopting a defensive line only for the ball to just escape Cook at silly point.

India just don't know whether they are coming or going in this innings. The players seem just as dumbfounded by Dravid's decision to enforce the follow on as we do, really.

Leading run scorers this series so far:

  1. Karthik
  2. Vaughn
  3. Ganguly
  4. Tendulkar
  5. Dhoni
  6. Jaffer
  7. Laxman
Its good to see quite a few indian batsman there... it has been a team performance on this performance.... Not just one man doing it all, good to see everyone contributing.

Its also good to see Dhoni and Laxman batting quite positively after tea.
