If you're an England fan, watching Ballance bat is probably splendid to watch. If you're just a cricket fan, it indeed becomes somewhat worse to watch. Must say I can really enjoy the not-so-naturally-gifted batsmen apply and simply play the shots they actually can play. I've always admired Paul Collingwood's batting, to name one.

Hardly a fair yardstick. If you put most batsmen in the world up against Bell for elegance they are going to fall short.
I was more amazed that you posted that straight after Balance took 12 off a Kumar over with cracking shots on both sides of the ground. And as others have said........why would we not enjoy watching him with what he's done this summer?

Typical sort of situation where Bell scores runs, but at least he's scoring them and picking up the pace.
